An atlas on my Gary Cane stock finally :D

After shooting my Platinum from sand bag's for a long time I finally decided to add a Bi-Pod but really didn't want to drill or screw in to my much loved Gary Cane stock I did a bit of man cave tinkering today. 

I pondered a few idea's but wanted to be able to put the rifle back to as it was if I wanted so this is what I came up with what do you guy's think and do you have any better ways? 

I started off with this:



Then removed the hamster bracket then went to some drilling and milling on the new rail to get it to the size I wanted:





And the end result its not a far front as id like but still feels great on the table and all cant be put back to normal with the original hamster in a couple of mins iv been wanting a Bi-Pod on this for a while now so all happy.

Good job! I'm jealous. I have an MK4 and an Air Wolf and I can't bring myself to drill my stocks. It's awesome you have that option.

Thank's Keith, You can buy a backet kit from Gary Cane he sent me an email offering to send me one failing that you can buy a knee rest for your MK4 & Air Wolf from rowans engineering thank dosnt involve any modifying to fit they simply give you a longer bolt that holds you stock to the action.

I know it should be and did expect it not to feel well at all but its surprisingly nice to bench I dont know how to explain it but it feels really stable when you take aim ill know for sure when I take it to my club and if all fails ill fit a longer rail but so far I have faith

The center of gravity on the MK4 type rifles is pretty close to the trigger, so the bipod is in front of it which is required for it to work.

It just looks very weird, I would have placed that rail on the tip of the stock

thanks for the reply broekzwans id of like to place it on the end too but I don't want to drill for a stud or add a clamp to the stock I want to keep it as original as possible
