An Illuminated Scope with non-illuminated Mildot/BDC Marks. Do they exist?

I'm primarily a small game hunter and currently have a 3-9X50 Vortex V-Brite scope on my Wildcat. I absolutely love the scope for 10-60 yards, but without any hash marks longer distances are challenging, especially on small targets. I've tried some other fully illuminated scopes, but I'm not fond of the busyness of the reticle marks which slow my reaction time dramatically.

Does anyone know of a scope that has an illuminated center dot with simple, non-illuminated Mildot or BDC hash marks or dots? Preferably something around 3-12X with a large objective. Thanks. John.

If you're looking for one from a major brand, I can't help you but if you are willing to take a chance on an inexpensive one...

I rolled the dice and bought one a couple of years ago and was so impressed by the sight picture and the reticle that I bought another. My scope cam setup doesn't really do it justice but hopefully will give you some idea

Regarding the illumination, most scopes I've used wash out when you turn on the illumination. But on this one it lights up the center dot and applies a soft underglow to the remainder of the reticle. Far and away the best illuminated reticle I've used.

If you don't mind MOA, there's these:

The reticle is fantastic, IMO. Only the center cross is illuminated:

Shameless plug... I'm actually selling some in the classifieds that I no longer need (like new):

Here is another one, never had this model. But did have them same scope without PA. Awesome. Daylight bright dot. I probably would go with BDC-3

Meopta Sports Optics | MeoStar R2 2,5-15x56 RD PA

Here is another daylight bright dot scope I own. No BDC, German g4 illuminated dot. You can look into the sun & see the dot. But scope is heavier than specs. Think I weighed it at 23 oz. However I really like this scope too. So pleasant to look through. The German g4 ret is good for hunting even w/o illumination. But no BDC or mildot.. Not sure you can even get these anymore. sun imported them.

You might want to check out some of the Optika 6 scopes too. Some of them have the illuminated dot & a couple hash marks. Just make sure you get RD & not Dichro. ( had both & the Dichro is worthless to my eyes). Mine does not have hash marked or bdc ret. just a regular duplex, with illuminated dot. The dot is daylight bright & glass very good. Think that one SF down to 10 yards. But some are 20.

Might want to look at the Leupold VX-R scopes. Last year the 3-9x40 was on sale for $500 marked down from $700 at Cabela's and Bass Pro Shop. I grabbed one and installed it on an FN-FAL. Very pleased with it. Only the center dot is illuminated. Has a 30mm tube. Leupold lifetime warranty. Center dot turns off automatically when the rifle is still for several minutes, but illuminates immediately when the rifle is picked up. Saves battery life, but is instantly on the minute you need it without having to manually turn it back on. Scope is light for its size. The 0.1 milliradian per click target turrets track flawlessly and you get a standard milliradian reticle, but I think other reticles are available. Most Leupold scopes can be sent in and get the reticle you want installed. Leupold service is the industry leader in the USA.
