An old Titan MC020 / Falcon FN8 post of mine

Nasty weather outside tonight, & with the change in the weather it’s been really hard for me to stay inside, so I’ve been entertaining myself Plinking & Tinkering (Plinkering + Tinkering = Plinkering) inside.

I had a Red Dot mounted on this Titan MC020 for the last few weeks, but this red dot (CenterPoint Multi-Tac) has a slightly tinted lens.

The tinting isn’t a big deal when using it carbine style, held close to your shooting eye, even when pesting at night with flashlights, but I found the tinting is magnified when held out at arms length in pistol shooting form, making the picture a bit dark. I have a Bushnell Trophy Red Dot with clear lenses that would be great, but I wanted to try a scope, especially since this rig will be used to snipe rats off feeders at night this winter.

I recently received a neat little Tasco Pro Class 2x22 pistol scope with matching Weaver rings, & with illuminated reticle (a tiny triangle lights up, right under the X-hairs), from a standup fellow-yellow member (Thanks helsac). This scope is silver, I mean Really silver...more accurately Chrome...& I wondered how it would look sitting on the deep blue Titan pistol. Hmmm...Looked good to me.

It’s cold and raining outside, so I only shot 4 pellets at 15 feet indoors to test the rig out. It put 4 JSB 8.44’s into the same hole (like my 22 Falcon FN8 did), so I’m optimistic it should perform at least as well as my 22 cal FN8. When I say the same hole, I mean the hole in the target 15 feet away will firmly hold a 177 pellet in it. Suddenly, this scope looks Beautiful to me on this rig now, like it was made for it! Could have been a factory option

Weather is nasty right now, but you can bet I’ll be wringing it out at 25 yards like the scoped 22 FN8 as soon as I can, mapping fill pressures, shot count, finding it’s refill pressure, finding it’s favorite pellet, etc.

And the Plinkering continues......

One of my most treasured airguns! These things are incredibly accurate. A friend of mine actually hit a clay target at 100 yards with it. Took about 4 shots ......but he did it. I can get respectable groups at 50 yards. It's .22 caliber. Alan Zasadny would be a good resource for repairs on these rifles. I will confess to having 5 Falcons. 2 multi-shot, 2 light hunters, and 1 FN8 pistols. All of these shoot very well. My favorites are the .22 pistol and the .177 light hunter

Yes, neat rigs for sure.

I can believe they would hit a clay at 100 yards. I think today's better ammo lets us get more out of today's & yesteryears airguns.

5 Falcons?! YES!! I have a few myself.

Did you know a group of falcons can be called a "cast", a "cauldron", a "kettle", a "bazaar", an "eyrie", a "ringing", a "stooping up", or a "tower" of falcons? Me either, but that's what a Google search showed.

Whatever you call them, between the two of us we got a whole mess of Falcons.

Thought I'd contribute more eye-candy to this FalconFest. Enjoy-

Though I seldom present single groups, three-shot groups, or those shot at less than 25 yards, this three-shot 20 yard group with the red-dot equipped FN8 is too pretty to not post!

The .177 Beeman/Falcon Rs was an accurate and flat-shooting laser-rifle with 10.3 JSBs at 986 FPS.
