FX Angled pic rail

I have two fX guns. FX angles the pic rail, like, 20 MOA. Even on the lower powered guns. This a real pain if you have a less expensive or mid range value scope. The scope typically does not have enough adjustment to overcome the 20 moa. I could see this on the higher power guns to shoot longer distances but those like mine are mid range and I like a lot of people do back yard shooting at 30 yards or so. If I want to keep the scope I have, that won''t take the 20 moa correction, do I have any choice other than shimming the scope mount to raise the front of the scope enough to get on target and have some adjustment left? I prefer not to buy a new scope as I like this one just fine. It seems like there would be a simpler solution than what I am doing now?

20MoA is pretty much an optimal amount of compensation, even for shooting at modest distances. For a 25-30 yard zero, it keeps the scope close to its mechanical center.

Acknowledging that the issue you’re experiencing is real, there is something else causing it. Could be the barrel is biased upward, or the scope is somehow angled in excess of 20MoA.

There's something else going on like @nervoustrig said. I had a backbone rail on my compact m3 which has 30moa with a vortex 4-16x40 ffp scope sighted at 25yds and had plenty of adjustment. Measure your rail and ensure that it actually is a 20moa rail, some of these come from the FX factory to be 0moa rather than 20moa. If that's not the issue, removed the shroud, then removed the barrel and roll it on a flat surface to see if it's bent in any way.
