I’ve gotten in touch with the elusive Mr. Ron Mahovsky of Metalife; got his CP and his wife’s, who is also the gent’s secretary. They don’t do texting, perchance because of their age, but they will call you, sir. Oh, his email got hacked, and he really doesn’t seem to regard his landline with scrutiny.
He recommends (for my AG project) nickel boron to up the scratch resistance and hardness. His NIB about rivals chrome in hardness, and it can also be made into a mirror shine like bright nickel, or in matte or satin.
My apologies for the OT, gents, but it’s an option should you wish your stuff plated. Cummings (CCR) did some of mine a couple of years ago when they had a sale, but majority of the platers seem to have priced themselves up ridiculously while RM Metalife has somehow maintained his.
For the record, he is not lacking in business, having been able to clinch a contract with an Israeli company, plating shotgun tubes—-I suspect IWI.
