Lol, I don’t know and I don’t want to know. How much does that beast weigh? Looks beefy in a good way...
its the Bronze Railbaloo, What color is your rail? I see bronze and gold as the options.
Patrick
they received them yesterday on sale today Tuesday aug 16 th Talked to the inventory manager at Utah air and he said the new ones will have 30 MOA tilt!!! Awesome!!! It should be about 3 weeks out.
He also said they made a batch with 0 MOA so if someone don’t mine a 0 MOA rail backbone just give them a call.
they have three different lengths, they are on sale today at Utah guns. as well 0 moa or 30 moaThat backbone has one downside. It places your scope even higher and the distance between barrel and scope is longer. It is not a positive thing as it amplifies any canting error.
I would love to see a backbone without that problem. Can someone make one from titanium? And please, do not make it that long.
One more aspect which came to my mind. The last thing I do is following the influencers blindly. If I don't need something then I don't use it. I need a short gun so 500mm barrel is the max length I can use. 700-800mm barrels are simply grotesque for me. Why I mention that? Because I see a lot of people buying rails and rail bipods and they really don't need them. They just buy them because they saw some influencers using them. Guys, just look at this name: INFLUENCER. This name brings a lot of information about that person. He has an influence on you to do something. It does not need to be the best thing for you. It is the thing influencer was paid for. Please always use your brain and choose wisely.
People just like to complain, don't buy it if doesn't float your boat. This is what the fun is, playing around and improving, sometimes it doesn't help. Look how this sport has grown. Say anything you want here, but a lot of you sound like Karens. I m happy to research and try new accessories.@JungleShooter: FX shrouds and barrels are flexy! BUT the design gives FX gun the light weight which many of us love. It certainly isn’t rough and tumble but some carbon tubes go a long way to remediate the flex while still keeping the weight down. It certainly isn’t going to be the same as a heavy barrel other manufactures have but the cost is weight and lack of barrel selection especially if you want to shoot slugs, only you can decide what works for you.
Some folks say why can’t you leave a good thing alone and by finding an ammo the guns shoots and be done. While I do that in my target guns but just like center fire long range we are always chasing the newest ammo with higher BC! Once up on a time everyone says no one will need more than 308 but that was at 100-300 yards. At 1000 yards a 1 MOA 6.5 gun will straight up embarrass a 1/2 MOA 308 gun. While sticking to a known hood ammo is fine for most people but that simply won’t cut it for the few of us chasing well beyond whats “normal”. I’m happy slug development is full speed from many manufactures, it indeed is a great time for few of us long range airgunners.
If we all stuck in the what currently works mode then we’d still be riding horse buggies right?
I was looking at the photo of your gun. Too bad they didn't make one of the circles tight to the block a quick disconnect fitting and a little lip in the rear. It would be nice to see an incorporated sling design for hunting purposes.
can you share the design on bottle and stroud? what is it where did you get it.... I really like it
For those of you with the backbone, exactly how thick (Tall) is it? The back section that is stiffening everything- not the scope rail part Curious what the overall height is.
the stock rail is a little more than 1/4" thick. Looking at this picture above i would guess maybe 5/8" thick?
Thanks!
