Aloha
When I go to load a nsa 33.6 gr slug. It's like the slug is getting jammed right in the transfer port. And upon pushing the slugs out with a brass rod the slugs have this indentation on them, like a ring mark. And when pushed the side lever closed it had a lot of resistance to it. And when I pulled the trigger the gun let out a huge hissing sound because of the jammed slug
I keep running into issues with this gun and I'm at my wits end with it. It's one thing after another. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or what is happening?

the transfer port is clear
Measure the diameter of the slugs with a caliper, if nothing is in the chamber area then the slugs are the wrong size for your barrel bore.. With slugs you have to find the right diameter slug that your barrel will shoot good. Find a slug that will fit your barrel and push one through the barrel with a rod and then measure it with a caliper to find out what the bore size is in your barrel. Also, look on the box of slugs you are trying to shoot, the diameter of them should be marked on the box.

I understand that but the slugs still come in different diameters even though they are listed as .25 cal....you can get diameters of....250, .251, .253 etc. etc. and they are still listed as .25 cal. It's your gun, do as you want, I was just trying to help but I do know what I'm talking about. Good luck, hope you get it figured out.

I just looked up the slugs you have listed that you are using...NSA 33.6 gr, .25 cal....those slugs come in two diameters, .250 or .254 , the .254 are for Leishy barrels only........maybe they sent you the .254 diameter by mistake ???? This is my last post about it....Good luck

thats kinda what i was thinking also.

or ordered the .254 by mistake?

I believe you might be missing his point. Slugs can be .25 caliber but they might be .249 , 250, 254. in diameter made that way for different barrels.
A slight diameter difference can make a difference.
Hope you get it straightened out.

@Hobiggitybag1

Hope you and your family are safe and well.
Can you tell us what does shoot well through your M3?
...And at what pressures and speeds

Hello..... I found very hard to understand other’s people opinions/help specially when we don’t have the acknowledgment, however take a part your rifle and double/triple check, ✍️ down what you did staring with the liner, transfer port, get a. Caliper and check the diameter on all slugs and transfer port , this way you’ll understand other’s opinions and you’ll be able to overcome your frustration, this is my humble opinion, good luck.

When a NSA type hollowpoint slug is loaded and fired only about the last third makes contact with the rifling. When the round is fired that last third is re-sized. I have an impact m3 in 25 cal with an STX Superior Heavy Liner as a dedicated slug gun. I use only NSA 38.9 grain slugs. The widest part of the slugs (the last third) mic. out at .2500 before being run through my liner. After being pushed through the liner the slug mic's out at .2498 and there is a very definite ring around the slug where contact with the liner begins. If I tried to load a .254 33.6 grain slug the liner would cut, press, or imprint a ring around the beginning of the last third of the slug. Looking exactly like those in the picture. All this to say I agree with DBlue. To slug your liner is an important part of finding a slug your gun likes. IMHO.
