Tuning Another M3 Leak Thread

Still trying to make sense of this. Confirmed all pressures and settings are the same as when originally tuned. Could there be a leak after the valve, resulting in full burst of air not being delivered to the projectile? For example o-rings at each end of the transfer port or the one inside? Any other possible sources of leak to check? I also noticed the pellet probe cants slightly downward when cocking. Once or twice per magazine it gets hung up in the magazine when trying to close the bolt. I need to wiggle it and use slightly more force to get past that point. I can't determine why this is happening nor how to stop it. None of my other FX rifles have this issue. Also, the end of the probe is a bit sharp, so I wonder if that has damaged the o-ring inside the transfer port. Finally, and unrelated, my first reg is set at 150 bar, but overnight it's reading about 175 bar. Assume this is regulator creep, surprised this, is happening on a new rifle. Love the features of this gun, but boy I've had numerous problems with it from day one.

This was a caliber conversion by the dealer. It has a Huma Air .22 dual transfer port and pellet probe. It was sent back for some troubleshooting and as part of that he installed an FX pellet probe, but it still has the Huma Air transfer port. I'm assuming they are fully compatible, but wanted to check here. Also, does the transfer port change the spec on the external o-rings (10x2 NBR 70) on either end of the transfer port? Finally, there's a small o-ring inside the transfer port that I'm a but worried may be damaged by the sharp edges of the pellet probe, and the droop that was causing it to catch on the magazine. Can this be replaced by the same spec (5,5 x 1,5 NBR 70). on the FX transfer probe? I can't find specific details for the Huma Air. Thanks.

With all the questions and attempts to chase down and fix I would send it in for warranty repairs. I can understand wanting to learn and understand the rifle so you don't have to send it back in but I would send it back instead of trying to figure it out and possibly doing more damage.

FX has a 3 year warranty and they have chimed in on your post but it's your call. Just really trying to change your whole experience by letting the manufacturer fix what is going on. I have had to send back two rifles but when i received them both back there were zero issues.

This forum is awesome but we can't do warranty repairs if needed. Great information, fixes and ideas but when they run out or they don't work send the rifle back so you don't lose faith, confidence and trust in your new rifle. There is a lot of FX negativity due to leaks and other issues which have occurred but these problems occur in ALL rifles it's just with the massive numbers being sold I believe you hear more of the problems. Send it back to FX to get it right and let them figure it out and get it back to you in working order.

I wish you a quick resolution and wonderful working rifle when you get it back...

Yeah, sending it to FX is probably a good idea. This rifle ended up being a bit of a mongrel from how it was originally manufactured, converted and repaired by the dealer. Credit to FX, they helped me solve most of my troubles over the phone. Also the reason I started this thread has been resolved, by tightened D68. I added this new observation here, loss of FPS from the time it was tuned, out of convenience. Maybe once winter hits I’ll send it back to them for a once over, I’m sure they’ll see things I can’t. Thanks guys.
