Tuning Another Maverick question

@Patrick1 yes I do, I shoot 28gr ZAN Slugs or 30gr Javelin Slugs at 950\960 respectively and very consistently with 11.1 g hammer weight. I typically get an es of 3-5 and SD of 10-15

Then for pellets MRD's @940\950fps or Beasts(34gr)@ 910\920fps I use same hammer weight, just Power Wheel change and \or small change on micro adjustment.

Typically slugs and Beasts on Power Wheel 7 and MRD's on Power Wheel 6.

I have the 13g hammer weight, but it needs higher reg pressure as the 13g weight overpowers the valve at lower reg pressure.

Spent many wasted days at the range testing different hammer weights and realized the 11.1g is the one for the Maverick .22, unless of course if you want to send 34gr slugs at high speed then the 13g and subsequent higher reg pressure will be needed.

I am very happy with 28\30gr slugs and 25.4\34gr pellets, the 11.1g hammer weight gives me these at very acceptable fps\fpe levels.

So I’m not looking(yet) for super high power. Just accuracy, consistency and lots of shots! Really at lower power, flat shots, so I chose the FX 15.9’s as they would be more backyard friendly, a bit safer, etc. Just trying to get more consistent shot strings.
All of these ideas have merit and I’m trying some at the range today.

That long shot sting I showed while tuning led to this. And still not done. Around 32 fpe. Start lower, bump up the pressure and turn up the HS to keep up with pressure to find your wanted fps . My next step will be finding the hammer peak then tune it down.

18 grain pellets. Cheap ones at that.

It could also be your washer stack in your regs. Mine had one that was installed wrong. I have the barrel on the slug port also. Didn't want the restriction of the pellet port. Picked up 30 fps or so .
I have finally given up! Sending my .22 Compact to FX for warranty work. They advised they think its a bad reg creeping. But there was another issue with the bottle adapter they want to check out too. They were very helpful in my conversation!

They should take good care of you. With Xmas and people on vacations it might take longer than other times of the year.

Thanks for posting this. My Maverick does the Exact same thing. Shot strings look almost identical to what you posted. I’ll get like 20 shots between 900-907 the. Some random 923 or 888 thrown in also mine starts to go crazy after the bottle red goes below 200bar which does not make any sense to me.
