Another use for O Rings

I've always worn "sport / dive" type watches. Usually Casio or Seiko in the $100 - $200 range with rubberized bands. I don't like metal or leather bands. My one Pet Peeve is that every 3 - 4 years the keeper that holds the end of the band in place breaks - on every one I have had. Replace the band or tape it in place. My latest watch - the new band was going to be $45.00. I was at my work bench and I had a genius thought. What about one of the O Rings that I had laying around for my PCP's. I put this on about 2 years ago. Problem solved.

That's a "shooter's watch". When I worked at the range I saw a ton of watches like that.

When I was out on jobs, I could ask the guys wearing them about it and they'd overwhelmingly say yes. I had one as well. Dunno why...
