Any Airforce guys shooting long distance ?

Its.taken me 3 years but my Airforce 50 is finally consistent enough now to shoot far. After hand lapping the factory barrel mine shoots pretty consistently 1.5 inch 2 inch groups at 125 yards.. Sometimes get lucky and make better groups. I have the cold shot adjustable base and lots of slugs. I need a bigger shooting range.. Hopefully do more long range shooting for fun. I also.need a spotter recoil on 50 doesn't let you see impacts. I shoot mostly N.O.E mold.with gas check that cast out at 460 grains pure lead and powder coated.. B.C. 2.5.. Velocity 860 fps.summer. Also.the accurate molds 625 spire point boat tail b.c. .5. Cast weight pure lead 650 grain velocity 750 fps.. Shoots well .... Recoil is for.real... Will scope your eye for sure. Hope to use this slug one day at 900 to1000fps...when financial possibly. I need booster pump too get there😀

It.seems the .257 Texan seems most accurate Otta the Texan bunch. Airforce barrels .750 diameter lots more metal and stiffness on .257 bore than .510 diameter in.750 outside. I put carbon sleeve on mine .250 thick making full 1 inch diameter. Hanging big Donny FL with extension heavy and long. Needed more stiffness. Lots.of members here will chime in on great .257 Texan groups. I have shot my Texan out to 300 with out spotter and had decent results.

When you say decent groups at 300 what are we talking about ??? 3 inch groups 6 inch groups just curious?? Also a tone of work done on the .257 ?

At 300 it wasn't on my range. and before I lapped my barrel . I hit the two ft metal first shot and knocked over the metal. I was pretty gimped up and couldn't get out there and check it. I was happy my drop charts and B.C were good. Also happy with my sightmark wraith 4-32 with cold shot adjustable base. I shot some plastic bottles at 350 yards and was in the ball park. I had major ankle surgery and was on crutches. Its really made it hard. My Texan barrel was horrible then I had to clean hard every 4 shots for any kind of accuracy. 1 fouling and 3 good shots. Also Texan broke Twice!!! And rebuild yong heng 2 more times. I'm doing much better now and have some yong legs to help me so ill do.some long range distance shooting with videos outta my sightmark wraith.. Also I hand lapped my barrel for a few hours with 6 lead laps... Now it is consistent.. Long range hard with poopty barrel..but I lucked out it is smooth and uniform now . enough to.do a lil long range testing..

I shoot my .257 LSS all day long at 200 yards and hit 2 inch MOA. I even shot a Big Foot today at 200 yards.

Curious what type of groups any of the airforce guys are getting and what they are using ?
I have a AirForce Texan 257 that i have only a few days, Yesterday i went to sight it in, lol I shoot left handed but my friend has a Caldwell rest for right-handed shooter and there was a 9 mph cross wind. This is what i got at 100 yards with 72gr HP and the 3rd pic was at a different location, no wind at 140 yards same ammo, the big target is 4 inch and the next one i thing is 2 inch. I Have a AEA 357 big bore 357 and 25 cal avenger that's modified but my fav is the 257, not even in the same league.
