I started making a resettable silhouette target. I planned to make a 36” x 36” box out of 1/4” metal. I put together some rams in preparation of making the box. But the other day I saw this little garden trailer on offerup for free. Free is free so I thought about incorporating this into my target it already has wheels. It is 4" narrower than I planned. I thought about making my box and setting it in the trailer to roll to the shooting area. Then today I thought about just filling the front with rubber mulch separated with a piece of cardboard. Sounds kind of redneck but its simple and quick.

How about putting a plate at an angle to deflect the shots down into the mulch? If the top is open the mulch will blow out the top-ask me how I know.....

The mulch is made out of ground up old tires and is pretty light. I've used empty wine boxes full of mulch-they work ok, but if the top is open the mulch blows out with the pellet impact. Haven't gotten around to putting a lid on the boxes yet...

I like it. After filling it with the rubber mulch maybe you can just cover it with a piece of 3/4 marine plywood so it doesnt rot and keeps the mulch in. Good luck
