For hidden gun cabinet/case?

I am doing finishing my basement from scratch, and in one of the corners it would be just too much details to do framing around things.

But if I make that wall straight there is a room of 11" deep and x3' wide unused. Tinkering now to build in that wall a diy "hidden gun cabinet".

Any ideas and samples more then welcome.

Yeah old moisture tight refrigerator with Charcoal and desiccants at the base - not plugged in (except for the light). I’ve done this before. You can place a lock on it too.

Nothing more discrete than a refrigerator. You can also put some words on it like “urine samples inside” or “Hannibal’s Leftovers,” or maybe even something like a cord hanging down the front and spray some fake dust on it so it looks not in use/empty

I wouldn't use a fridge with guns in it! Human curiosity will open the fridge especially one that's out of place!!!

I put a lock on mine, and it would be very hard to open. Plus, I double most people keep guns in a fridge. Other than that, I’ve constructed fake panels and stuff. I think the best I have done is just had a punch out area - sealed and textured and painted. It was done so you can punch it out really quick and grab a loaded shotgun. Anything beyond that there is usually some type of line in the opening of the concealed area, so it is best to conceal the line with a decorative or statement piece

Just a thought, but an outside basement wall would pass quite a bit of moisture.
