Anyone here buy and install their own shorty conversion? I did and can't get it from trimming air from the mag. Loud even with ldc.
Seems the mag to barrel seal has flown the coupe!!
There is no mag to barrel seal. You have to put the barrel in until it touches and then back it off 1/8 of a turn, maybe less, so that the mag rotates freely. Gap should be .010 inch or less.

Front cover plastic c shaped thing is a gap filler to keep slugs from dropping into space around barrel. Part didnt exist on original K1's.

How do you reset the striker properly? I thought I did it correctly, but when airing up at about 100 bar, I hear a clunk. Then I just get an air dump when pulling the trigger. I'm apparently not a quick study, as I've tried this three times in a row. Is there a trick to it? Of course this was after doing this:

Never mind, found one of Kelly's videos - in the comment section, he mentioned about pulling the trigger AND then resetting the striker. All is good now. CF shroud replacing stock non functional shroud. Works pretty well, pretty quiet, well worth doing! Took me two days to do. A day for printing and a day to fit things and to cut the CF tube to size.

You are having about as much fun as I am.

After shooting 19 rounds successfully yesterday, (after resetting the striker) I took a shot today (dry fire) and I'm back to an air dump. Beats me why I've getting these dumps right now. Maybe something got damaged. Not sure why, everything was fine before degassing.

After getting annoyed at the sight interfering with disassembly, I removed the 1mm pin. Used a common pin to press it out. Both the 1mm pin and the sight are in a GK1 parts bag. Having to resight after these dumps has really annoyed me.

It's sure been interesting piece to work on lol. I'd sure like to see how that mag stop is installed in the factory. Lots of little moving parts lol

Crossing fingers, reprinted some parts in the shroud, and reassembled it. Reset the striker. Filled with air, to 250 bar, and filled the magazine. At least with 17.6gr Norma's, the sound is subdued indoors. No, not mouse fart quiet, but honestly, pretty good. It will be fine outdoors. A dry fire is quite a bit louder. We'll see how long this keeps up. When airing up, around 100 bar, there's an audible click as something moves inside the action. Not sure what that is, but will have to remember that.

In all the thrashing, I had to unscrew the air tank to access the barrel. I was half expecting a leak upon reassembly. Fortunately it didn't leak. Have to re-chrony this again, have no idea what I set it do, it's about 1/2 turn off the bottom. Kelly had set it to around 900 fps for the Norma's. I had to set it to minimum when degassing (per the recommendations). Hoping there are no more unexpected dumps.

Would u mind confirming if trigger freezing in ur opinion has anything to do with pulling the trigger multiple times like
BOB MUNDEN ???

Bob was known for single action quick draw, that shouldn’t cause an issue.

Jerry Miculek on the other hand might cause some issues with the gk1.
