Any Lefties shoot an Edgun Matador

If I was a lefty I would not want to change the bolt, leave it on the right. Notice how Ed never has to take his finger off the trigger to chamber a round? Since I'm a righty, I kept my Vulcan bolt on the left for exactly the same reason. I can keep my right hand on the grip/trigger as I chamber the next round, works well for me. Being a bullpup, the shortness of the gun really lends itself to this type of cycling. Just my 2cents. :) And yes the Matador is an eye catcher. Hope you get one Doc so we can hear all about it!

Being a right handed shooter I also kept the bolt of my Vulcan on left side. In a bullpup the center of gravity is mostly at the pistol grip and it is easy to keep the shooting hand at the trigger while cocking. In longer rifles the weight is more forward and while cocking you need the grip at the fore end.

That is a real good point Doc. I looked at the video again and it seems Ed positions his cheek right between the magazine and the bolt lever. Looks comfortable for him but maybe your would position your cheek differently? We all have differences in the sizes of our "cheeks"! Right? :) Sound like you might want to get your hands on one and try it first or buy one and if don't work for you I will take it off your hands for a fraction of the price you paid? ha ha.

I have shouldered a Cricket bull pup and the side-lever was digging into my shoulder. I was concerned that the Bolt would do the same but it looks like it ends up under his chin. He has no problem putting up 4 nice groups at what appeared to be 100 yards (or meters)! Just shooting away! After watching some new Videos from EdgunWest, there are some new improvements to the Matador. There is a Moderator that is supposed to improve the harmonics of the barrel which in turn improves the accuracy.

FunGun, I will let you know how it works out when I get it in September!!!!!!!!! Got any Scope recommendations?

I was exactly where you are a few years ago... at the time Ed had a Left handed bolt option listed on the web site... When I inquired about the cost of getting that option, I was very disappointed in the response/feedback I got... I was told I didn't need it. Since Ed is a lefty he knew better than me what I needed. I had the exact same experience with the cricket cocking lever... I actually have a .22 and a 25 cricket and yes they dig into my cheek weld. And Edgun would too IF I had one. But after the smart ass feedback I got from Ed himself and the fact that when I was doing my research, just about every other thread on the Edgun forum over on the TAG was about someone being down and unable to shoot because they could not get repair parts, spare magazines or about anything else except complete guns, I opted out of getting an Edgun. I did get a .25 Vulcan and I really like it. Still have my Crickets too as they just shoot too good to part with...
