Any more info on the Kral Puncher Empire and Empire X?

I've been eyeballing the Puncher Jumbo Synthetic. Maybe in .22 to sling some Redesigns.

I ordered a synthetic from Krale and so far so good. The cheek riser rocks back and forth in its mount. Shoots crosman 14.3 at 917 fps fully open. I thought the gun would be smaller but it is pretty decent size. Shroud ends right at the barrel end so no sound suppression there. Definitely needs a moderator. I picked up a used huma for it and looking to open up the pathways to turn into a slug gun. Mags are nice and deep so they should work.

I currently shoot 50 meter bench rest. How are you liking the accuracy?

I only got to mess around with it at 25 yards so far and it was windy and the bench sucked. Very consistent accuracy from 15 gr all the way to 21 gr pellets. Waiting to open up the ports and huma reg before trying the pellets. I have a squirrel hunting competition this weekend and there is a range there so I should be able to air it out better.

Hi Frank.

I ordered a Kral Puncher Empire from Kralarms.com.

Also, I ordered another air rifle from them, and my experience both times was fantastic.

Very friendly, and replying to my email questions very quickly.

And shipping was extremely fast.

both times, I received my item within 4-5 days.

Incredible, especially since they were coming from the Netherlands.

Highly recommend them.

One note: They do require you to send them proof of age via driver's licence after you place the order.

Just scan it, and email it to them.

But again, Great experience with them.

Other point: I compared weights once of alu vs carbon fiber bottles. Found that the difference of 100 grams or so really could not justify the big cost difference. (Got my 250 cc alu bottle off Aliexpress for less than 30 bucks shipped ...) Carb Fiber easily costs 100 more. You can pump it up to higher bar than the alu, but that puts more pressure on the seals etc plus I don't care for the look. But that's personal of course ...

I am thinking about getting a smaller 250cc carbon fiber bottle and then installing a regulator with the thought I could pump it up more, it would weigh less and be smaller in size and the regulator would prevent higher pressure to the seals, etc. Would that work?

With the Empire X, adding a bottle regulator would still give a nice large plenum, so yes a CF bottle at 4500psi and regulator down to wherever the sweet spot resides would be a good idea. I'm just not sure where that sweet spot is. You'd need to shoot over a chrony for a fill or two and see where things are most stable, but from memory mine was pretty from fresh fill down to 2000psi or maybe lower. It would be hard to just pick a pressure out and say that was the best for this rifle.

I do have a chrony so I'll figure out that sweet spot and if it's anywhere between 2,000-2,500psi this sounds like a good plan to reduce size and weight and still have a large capacity for many consistent shots. I do believe this gun has a chamber of about 100cc in addition to the bottle and the regulator would go in between which might be even better using the bottle simply as a large reserve.
