I have an invite to hunt wild pigs, and it was suggested that I give an arrow shooting rifle a try. Will this work?

Broadhead arrows produce a massive wound channel.
If you do your part, they'll produce a humane dispatch better than most things short of a coldsteel spear or large caiber high velocity centerfire firearm.

My Umarex airsaber and Hawke OP3 130 bdx crossbow reticle is really decent shooting rig. 460 fps with 385 grain 22 inch arrow. Can hit target at 120 yards with combo. Can get really good deals on original airsaber. I got mine on Clearance for $230. Its been my best buy in airgun s by far.

And yes I shot a pig on a high fence hunt... Crossbow broad head 20 yards one shot. Head shot between eyes. Pig died in a few steps. Cant cock crossbow thus move onto airsaber...

@CaptainH No real world experience hunting hogs with them, but I have been working with air bolts recently and @AirArcher66 is pretty knowledgeable in this area. Hunting hogs with air bolts is his thing. Look up some of his posts.

A good, sharp broadhead is devastating on any big game,
a good, sharp broadhead delivered at the speed and precision that a PCP is able to do is an absolute wicked hunting tool,
I would be absolutely confident in hunting any animal in the planet with my set up,......it just blows through pigs like there's nothing there.
I did get a big boar with the Dragon Claw .50 and the arrow shattered on a rock after passing through (unfortunatelly I cancelled my photobucket account and lost all the pictures, the thread is still up on my gate on GTA )
recently I got one with my REX .357,....here :
