Any Regrets Changing Fx Impact Caliber ?

For me I have no regrets and often swap calibers depending on what I am hunting for lol. I also swap calibers just because I may have an abundance of one ammo and am low on another haha. This is the very reason I bought it in the first place.👍 After you do it a few times and record your measurements ,reg pressure and settings it is not that bad at all. It normally takes me around 30 minutes total if I am lacking and take my time. less than 10 minutes to swap the barrels and probe and then about 20 minutes to adjust the reg pressure and hst and fire a few over the crony to get the speed where desired and then a few 50 yard 5 shot groups to check it all out and then go hunting with a big grin and high hopes haha.

Example of .22 cal barrel hunting / pestings birds or squirrels and swap to getting ready for coyotes and coons at night (or another day ) and switching barrels to the .30 cal 700mm

I have no regrets and have multiple barrels just for this reason lol. For me personally I have no regrets but am very pleased with it.

All of us are different at times and different opinions which makes this sight so great you get to here several different scenarios and pick which one works for you 👍 It's all good haha.

I hope this helps you a little . Later

I have the 25cal,as I age my eyes and handling the slugs and or pellets not just loading them in the right direction but seeing the poi @100+yards. For all of those reasons the 25cal works well for me I have a 22cal red wolf and using the single shot tray I have shot many jsb 25gr backwards, and the slightly larger 25cal seems to be better for me. I guess in time I will have to a 30cal.

I have .22, 25, and .30 and shoot them all. Takes minutes to switch over and rezero.

Same here, and love fact that i can do it with very little hassle!!

Yes it takes a few minutes to switch barrel and probe. But it doesn't take a few minutes to rezero. You have to re-tune your gun to match the caliber. You need to reset the reg pressure, hammer spring, valve stop, make sure you get the harmonic tune correct. And also get the speed to match the pellets or slug cause each pellet for each Cal prefer a different speed. Usually takes me a few hours to re-tune to get it just right. Not a few minutes. I leave my impact the same Cal and settings cause when I tune my gun for best accuracy. I hate to lose that and have to re-tune it to get it back.

I really want to get a.22 but I am just learning about the Impact and like you said it takes time and to go from one caliber to another. Not saying it doesn't but is it really that involve?

Im not talking about benchrest tuning, a typically leave the reg set between .22 and .25. So i just run a few over the chrony while adjusting the valve stop and hammer spring. Then a couple clicks for elevation between the two and done. Thats my experience anyways, not that involved.

Ditto! as posted above exactly the same for me. Hunting and pesting for me, the platform is great. JMHO as well.

I've often often wondered if people actually changed calibers... Knowing my self, I'd probably end up with two guns.

This been said, the new Daystate Delta Wolf wold make the switching easier, as you're supposed to be able to store different profile on the onboard computer.

What Glem said +1, I run my 22cal set up at 150bar shooting slugs, which is also good for my 25 and 30cal setups. just some minor tweaks to the HS adjuster which I keep notes on for each caliber. And, I actually have three different elevation turret knobs for each caliber for my SIII already pre-marked which keeps things a little simpler. Works very well for me anyway.
