Replaced the blocks (Saber Tactical) back in December but did not had a time to shoot neither tune, also in time between I did some heavy porting in my MK2 PP.
Today a little opening in my home schedules and put together a last piece from the puzzle a polished Huma dual port.
Notice this phenomena earlier but did not pay attention, only today had a time for a closer look when installed the dura 90 orings along the barrel support.
When cocking the mechanism it looks/feels like the pellet probe is not moving straight directly into the brass transfer port hole but a little above into the edge. Not a big offset but big enough if I hold the Impact vertically (barrel down) and let the handle fall/close by its weight it stops at the touch.
This could be two things, either the threaded hole in the S.T. block is crocked (angled upward) and lifting up the entire Reloading Bar + Pellet Probe Guide,
or
The thread in the ST block was done higher and lifting again up the entire Reloading Bar + Pellet Probe Guide.
Either way, the centerlines not aligning between the pellet probe and the brass port.
I guess I can fix it with shimming (between the upper cover plate and the guide block) but a closed look is telling me that would be at least 0.3 mm or better 0.5 mm thick SS shim, or PTFE if I could find a gauge sheet these days. I don't want to bend the rod but that would be a fastest and cheapest.
Edit:
Also forgot to ask for this earlier days .... the cocking handle...is touching , actually can hit pretty hard metal on metal if I just let it go snap back forward. Most likely that was a reason Ernest made the shorter handle, not sure if that would fit the Saber Tactical blocks as well?
