Have any of you ever refinished a wood stock? If so, how’d you do it and what did you use?
I did this MRod stock. I just sanded it down to my liking, removing about a pound of weight. I tried to model it after the Daystate Regal. Then I used the Pre-Stain and Oil based stain by Minwax. After this I put about 20 hand rubbed coats of Tru-Oil
That is an amazing job! Did you use any power tools or do it all by hand?

This is a black walnut stock I made and finished it in Boiled Linseed Oil. It really is a natural look and you can still feel the grain of the wood. It also is very easy to touch up. It does however, take some time between coat for it to dry. (Several days to a week) I have done a stock in TruOil which also is very nice and like others have stated, Joe Wayne Rhea has posted several method here on this forum
