Anybody refinish a wood stock?

Well it didn't turn out as nice as the MRod (I put like 12 coats on, so may need more), but I think it's still a lot better then that paint/stain they put on these guns

I didn't photo mine before, but here is what they look like. I describe it as a paint with wax look. No grain showing thru at all

Great work on the nova vista! I’m thinking of doing mine. I want to take off a lot of wood to make the gun lighter. What did you do when you worked around the butt pad?

I didn't do it, but my friend Chacho Gonzalas AKA Extreme 454 on GTA did my Kral Jumbo.

The butt pad comes off. Two 4mm allen heads screws.
