Yup , Twice
More specifically. The 30 mm to picatinny.
There is a design flaw in them. There is a tiny hole drilled on the side for that set screw. They mill a flat so they can drill that hole.
That flat is a week spot in the clamp.
the 30mm to 11mm dove tail rings. Do not have the machined flat. I have not broken any of those. So I think the issue is with the 30mm to picatinny. Now to every one who is going to say. “ You over tightened them” Ya ok whatever. 1 . I’ve never broke or even stripped out a scope ring in my last 15 years of working on firearms. 2. For the price of these rings. They should not break.
I switched to Eaglevison rings.
I DONT RECOMMEND BKL NOR UTG PRO RINGS NOW MADE IN CHINA.
EAGLE VISION TIME (OR SPORTSMATCH OR BURRIS SIGNATURE XTR)...
FX no limits have a 90 day warranty.
Sportsmatch Lifetime Warranty.
BKL 1 year warranty.
Burris Forever Warranty (does not state on package or instructions)
Eagle Vision NO IDEA
Just going to state an obvious ..... Design flaw perhaps aggravated by EXCESSIVE Over Tightening of the ring base to the rail perhaps ?
Mine could not be tightened hard enough in the angle adjustment to secure a scope without ""gradually"" slipping down over time. I had to put a piece of sandpaper between those surfaces that press against each other in the rings to fix the issue. It literally took months and lots of wasted time and ammo to finally figure the problem out![]()
At the same time my FX rifle was having other issues which compounded the frustration.
But mine didn't break like yours did.
Due to this issue and many others I'm not buying FX products anymore.
I’ve never had problems with my FX guns and will continue to invest in more pocket book allowing. When I say problems I’m talking about something I can’t repair or do something about. Example, my Impact sprung a leak a week ago out of the blue. Very hard to find, but the trusty 5 gallon bucket of water and my Impact dunked in found it. I actually looked at this as an opportunity to learn more about the gun as I had to completely disassemble it in order to wipe all internals dry, and it was an opportune moment to apply fresh lubes. Its been awhile since I tore the Impact down so it was a good re fresher.
It’s all part of the hobby of pcp ownership.
This mishap with the no limits- I took advantage of this and decided to swap over all the fasteners on the wildcat to stainless since the gun was going to be down a bit till I replace the scope rings.
