Anyone else NOT grow up shooting?

I was the only one in my family interested in guns and received a Winchester 353 Air Pistol (made by Diana) when I was nine or ten. I taught myself how to shoot it and used to bring it to grammar school with me. The principal would keep it until school got out and I would then hunt birds on the farm next to the school. In 6th grade I received my first .22 LR, 1000 rounds of ammunition and zero parental supervision. In college, I had the campus police keep my firearms until I needed them for hunting etc. It certainly was a different world back then.

Not me. I got my love of airguns as a child and from age 6 on I spent many hours shooting Daisys, Crosmans and Benjamins. Powder burners were something I rarely got to shoot and while I liked shooting them then and now, airguns are what I really love.
