Anyone Ever Blown a Shot at a FT Competition When….?

Didn't blow the shot but waited till the common sparrow sitting on top of the 40 yd. target I was about to shoot flew off. We don't time our shots so he got a free pass otherwise a hit anywhere on steel might have sent shrapnel into the little guy.

OK so I’m sitting on my stool and have the bipod positioned. I place the gun on the bipod yoke, range the target and load. As I’m about to take the shot something felt funny. Just as I’m squeezing the trigger the right leg of the bipod pokes thru into a shallow gopher burrow. The pellet went down range…….somewhere. Uj

I hate it when I didn't see the offending protrusion of log, grass, or leaf, which deflected my zinging pellet into "who know where".

Or maybe I didn't load one in, LOL. Or put it in backwards. Or dialed wrong. Or got a rev over somehow. Or touched the trigger by accident, or shot the wrong target .....
