FX Anyone got there FX DRS in yet??

Impact 701, Do you know if your rifle is set up with the larger 8mm valve? And have you shot it enough to establish a shot count with it as is. You know you don’t need a gauge to determine the reg setting. Just watch your chronograph and as soon as it starts to drop in velocity read your presure gauge. I guess I’ll have to get one of those big ass plentum‘s when I want to shoot the heavy stuff.

Yes the .25 caliber and the rifles with the 700mm barrel come with the heavy impulse valve. Plus you get the heavy slug liner with the 700mm. Along with the big ass plenum.

Yes, in your 1st post about your DRS you wrote about watching the velocity drop to get the reg pressure. Thanks 4 that !
I have not shot it below 150bar but that gave me 20 shots. 230bar ro 150 bar.
I am going to fine tune the hammer spring and find out what the reg is set at over the weekend.

70 FPE
Let me guess 1 Short, 1 Medium and
1 Long ! ?
Yes!
500 mm to keep handy at the back door for general purpose duties.
And a 700mm slug shooter for long range fun.
These are really putting out some decent FPE numbers for a simple .22, shooting slugs.
34 FPE with pellets, and 65 or 70 FPE with slugs.....with a .22!

I will share pictures of groups later, but I will says these first shots were very Accurate. I am getting 1 full magazine easily per fill.

It weighs 7lbs with that Weaver Classic 6-24x42
I have a Athlon Midas Tac 6-24x50 that I will put on it when the picatinny optics rail comes out.
Each and everyone to their own ... but...... Christ the DRS is an ugly unit.. Could maybe just live with the oversize Barrel/Reservoir bit .. but the "Fake / Magazine " plenum ... Na !!

Glad your enjoying it though ....

BTW....Every time i see the DRS ...this pops into my head..

Remides me of either the Kentucky Long Rifle or,

But it really reminds me of my Remington 700 in 308 Winchester

I’m starting to think I need 2 DRS’s down the road. Maybe try a .177 barrel. I have never had a .177 but with the latest heavy pellets and now slugs looks interesting for pesting. In my mind I still think there is room for a medium size plentum for the 600 barrel . When the large plentum is available I’ll get one and experiment with plugs to see how different volumes perform with different weight ammo. It will be a fun project at least.

So I take it the plenums should be interchangeable? wondering how long before aftermarket support possibly plenums aren't to hard to have made up? It definitely has my attention ? I didn't read threw every post. will it do slugs and pellets without a liner change? I prefer 600 mm length that way it doesnt get super long with a mod on the end . Sorry if I asked questions that were already answered like I said I didn't read threw every post thanks Mark

I wonder what the cost of barrel kits will be for these? Will they include the air cylinder so you can swap to a 500mm or 700mm barrel? The cost of the other barrel kits is already pretty pricey! I priced a .30 cal barrel kit with magazine for my Crown and it's $349.99. For the same reason $349.99 I can purchase an AEA Challenger in .30 for that and get the whole gun! I have a Challenger in .30 and it's extremely powerful and accurate, just really heavy also! I'm expecting the barrel kits for the DRS to be north of $500!

DRS uses the plain STX barrel without any shroud so I suspect it should be cheaper since there is no shroud.

If you keep the same barrel length, but if you you want to go shorter or longer your going to need the corresponding air cylinder.

Very true, you can go longer but it will look funny but certainly you can not go shorter. I’m hoping they will eventually release a DRS compact like Dreamline compact soon.

I going to get the carbon fiber upgraded shroud which allows a 250 bar fill so a little more air ( about 4 or 5 shots worth) I’m staying with the 600 length and maybe try a .177 heavy barrel . I saw that you can buy barrel/ shroud kits or separately. Same for the larger valve and a slug pin probe and heavy slug liner. No price on these in USD yet.
