FX Anyone got there FX DRS in yet??

Tom at HPP tested the .22/600mm DRS I have coming. He said it's shooting 18.1 gr JSBs at a consistent 57 shots at an average of 909 FPS before it dropped off the regulator. That should work for my needs, but it will be nice to experiment a bit and see what it will do. If the reg pressure is preset at 110BAR, I would think I should easily get more out of it, even by just raising reg pressure to 120BAR.
If you’re happy with below 18 grain pellets the small plentum is fine . My Dreamline GRS has the larger plentum and I can get more out of it than the DRS with reg on 110 bar. But I have kept it tuned for 15 grain Hades at 915 fps which shoots better than I could ever want out of a pellet shooter. My DRS out of the box shot the 15 Hades at 950 fps but they didn’t group worth beans . Probably would do better slowing them down some where between 880 and 900. But I bought this DRS to shoot heavy pellets and light slugs which it does but the shot count sucks and I would like a little more velocity. We need a slightly bigger volume plentum for the classic 600. I said bigger volume , not a larger sized plentum. If it doesn’t happen maybe I’ll tune the DRS for whatever light pellet it shoots best and tune my GRS Dreamline to shoot the heavy stuff. I have plans to make my own GRS stock without all the adjustments for this DRS.

The DRS arrived this afternoon, all safe and sound! I can’t believe how light it is! I put a DonnyFL FX Moderator on it and it’s very quiet. The DFL FX looks like it’s made just for the DRS, the OD is identical to the air cylinder. I mounted an ATN 4K Pro scope (which probably weighs as much as the rifle), zeroed it and did 5 quick shots as a function test. 3 of the 5 went in roughly the same hole! The other 2 were probably me!

Very nice!
Congratulations!
Id love to see some future feedback on the pellets your useing, FPS, and some 50 yard (if possible) accuracy, after you put a few hunderd pellets through it!
I feel sorry for any nocturnal creatures hanging around in your back yard!
Congrats!

Congrats on your new toy, interesting rings.
Those are the rings that come with the 4K Pro. I want to mount an Element Helix on it, but it won't sit far enough forward for the eye relief I need of for the turret block to clear the mag well so I can use the larger magazines. I have a set of BKL Offset rings on order for the Helix, then I'll be able to get it set up as I want it, the 4K Pro is temporary. The section of dove tail in front of the mag well is much shorter on the DRS than it is on the Dreamline Classic, so I need an off-set ring in front to get me the clearance and eye relief I need.

I tried 15 different types of pellets ranging from 14.3 grain Rodman Domed to 18.13 grain JSB Exact. That table below shows the chrony results for 5 shot strip of each pellet. The asterisk rate the accuracy on a scale of bad, good and excellent. The DRS is not really pellet picky and only 3 of the pellet brands got a bad rating with the H&N FTT's being the worst, they did not group at all!

The pellets that really surprised me were two new brands, the Norma 17.6 grain and the Air Boss 18 grain, which had the tightest groups of all of them! The heavier Norma did much better than the lighter 15.9 grain Norma, which seemed odd since they are the same manufacturer, but that's how it worked out!

This was a total of 75 shots. I stopped and refilled to 230BAR after 55 shots, when the gauge was showing 150BAR. I don't yet know what the regulator is set at on this gun, but will be checking that when I take the stock off and I've shot it down enough to degas it. I have read it's set at 110BAR, so I probably could have gotten a few more shots before it came off the regulator.

Very impressive numbers, and shot count.

It is awsome !

Without touching it, it is shooting the H&N 34gr Heavy slugs average of 931fps.

I will share pictures of groups later, but I will says these first shots were very Accurate. I am getting 1 full magazine easily per fill.

It weighs 7lbs with that Weaver Classic 6-24x42
I have a Athlon Midas Tac 6-24x50 that I will put on it when the picatinny optics rail comes out.

Holy Cow! 100mm of barrel and a larger plenum sure makes a difference! And to think, you can now go buy a cheaper competition stock and have a DRS PRO for probably $1000 less than buying the PRO!

YES! I call it semipro for us semipro budgeted people, Arron CZ should be modifying and releasing a semipro chassis with semipro price (~$700)for the DRS soon.
