ooh, "10-shot seasoning" sounds like a great tip!

not sure it'll help my aim much.

Yeah I did that because previously I had shot Barracuda FT’s (the 25 shots), so it had lead shavings from the Barracuda’s; makes it inconsistent because your “hills” and “valleys” in the rifling have been tainted with the previous pellet that has a different die, shape, etc. That’s why when you switch in between pellets, you’ve got to shoot at least (in my experience) 10 times to get the barrel seasoned with the pellets you’re shooting with.

NICE STUFF!
I ALSO USED GPL-205 (Krytox)…might just be the secret ingredient. Hint hint to anyone wanting to tune.

I finished today about a three week off and on project, repowering my .177 Air Arms ProSport, formerly tuned by Paul Watts.

One of my favorite and most beautiful springers, I noticed that it had lost power. I stripped it down, and installed a Vortek PG3 steel HO kit and new seals. To get it to lock up perfectly, I had to cut 1/2 coil off of the spring. Once done and perfectly lubricated , I shot the 10 shot group as found below at approximately 20 yards. The chrono stats are from a 20 shot string.

Hw97 .177 12 fpe vortek steel 8 fps es and a hw50 .22 vortek steel with 5 fps es. I had to deburr and sand the heck out of the compression tube and piston on the hw50 it was a mess. The 97 was immaculate inside. I really wanted a tx200 but I’m a lefty and I wasn’t too thrilled with the price but you get what you pay for. I’m happy with my 2 Weihrauchs.

You definitely have to pay the LH tax.
