Anyone Have Any Experience w/the Optisan Optics CP 10X32mm MH10 Reticle Scope?

I saw this Optisan Optics CP 10×32 MH10 Reticle scope on Trenier's site, but I didn't see any reviews https://www.trenieroutdoors.com/optics-2/optisan/optisan-optics/optisan-optics-cp-10x32-mh10-reticle/ It has a decent price point. I looked it up on a couple of other sites. I also haven't found any info regarding their warranty. I'm looking at this possibly being compatible with a Lelya 2.0. Looks like it is rated for springers and some centerfire rifles. Versatility is always a plus. If anyone has experience with this particular scope please share your experience and insight. I'm also curious to your overall experience with the brand. I've read a couple of threads concerning the brand and it seems to have mixed reviews.

Disclaimer: I am a casual shooter and I am definitely not a glass snob. Many others have their own personal expectations when it comes to optics, and no one can fault them for those. But in my casual, non-competitive and normally close-in shooting (90% within 50 yards), I do not really push any glass to its limits, and may not really critically examine or review glass as well as others.

I have the both of the Optisan compact optics - CP 10x32 and CP 3-12x32. They were both purchased from Trenier. The 10x32 has been on some other guns, but it currently resides on a newly acquired S510 Carbine. The 3-12x32 is currently not mounted, but was most recently on a now-sold Impact Compact (and will be going back onto a different Impact Compact).

I have always found Optisan scopes to be light, generally compact, bright & clear, and fully functional for my needs. Their reticles are clear and sharp, and are not overweight. I haven't owned them for more than say 6 months, they generally get light duty from me, and I have not had any issues with any of them.

While I like the 10x32, for the extra money (and if available) I prefer the 3-12. Just more flexibility for me, without a significant weight or size penalty. I am using the 10x on the 510 Carbine because I wanted the light & compact form factor, and this gun will likely be used from 35 yards on in. I do like magnification - my 62 yo eyes have never been all that great, even when younger.

I recall that Yodoyle (remember him?) had some stories (fancy that) regarding Optisan in general. He thought that they were cr@p optically, and cr@p as a company. He told me that the company attempted to dodge warranty claims which either he or his friends tried to make regarding their scopes. He also mentioned that he didn't think it was right that the warranty was not transferable from the original purchaser. Take that for whatever it is.

I like the Optisan CP scopes, and would purchase another 3-12 tomorrow if I had the need.

@TMH I did come across some of his posts regarding the warranty issue. That's one of the reasons I asked about it. Another is that I was unable to locate any info concerning their warranty on the distributors' sites that I visited. I also have yet to read a review of this scope. I was looking at it as a scope for quick acquisition shots on a Lelya 2.0 as an alternative to the hard to find and more expensive Dedal Stalker. The weight and length are attractive features and I like the reticle along with the higher magnification. How do you like the turrets and the parallax knob?

The turrets are fine, although I've had some scopes with more positive clicks. Parallax knob is fine too - smooth and not overly heavy, but it is not going to move on its own either.

I've really never experienced a scope where the focus just 'snaps' in when you hit the right adjustment. I just slowly rotate the parallax knob until it looks good, maybe go a little further, and then come back if necessary. Photo below shows the position of clear focus on a measured 25 yard target (measured from the front of the table, scope at the middle of the table). So it looks to be pretty accurate.

And these are pretty mid- or lower-priced scopes. But I think that they perform above their price point. I think that about Yodoyle's favorite Alpha 6 scopes as well. I use several of them. Optisan parallax knobs are much smoother and lighter compared to the Alpha 6's, and their turrets are a little less mushy. For comparison if you've used an Alpha 6.

@TMH I have an Alpha 6 so I can relate to what you're saying. You nailed what I was getting at with the turrets; the need for over compensation. I don't like having to over adjust turrets farther than I need only to come back a couple of clicks in order to get my reticle right. That irks the hell out of me, but sometimes I'll tolerate it for a budget scope's other benefits. For shooting from a fixed position it's not too big of a deal. If I'm walking through the woods, I don't want to deal with that if I need to make adjustments. Thank you the input. I want to see what others have to say about them.

Short range pest control. The Lelya went 15 for 16 on ground squirrels a couple of days ago. All head shots. The one miss was at 52 yards..my fault..I did the wrong Mil hold-over. The scope is all I'd hoped it would be in the field. Never had an issue seeing the reticle in lighting conditions from full shade to bright sun.

@lbc_psi Sounds promising. How long have you had it?Thanks for the input.

@ Matthias

The turrets are low profile and pretty well marked. I probably would need to use "readers" because of my old eyes. But I don't see that as a draw back because if I'm shooting at something where I need to dial the distance, I have the time to remove the turret cap and put on my glasses.

If you're a serious dialer, then the low profile, having to un-cap, and not having a turret rotational indicator would probably bug you.

The way I have my Lelya set up I can pretty much hold the center "+" of the reticle on a quarter sized target and hit plus/minus 2 pellet diameters from 15 to 48 yards.

@ Ezana4CE

Purchased NOV 2020 and it's been on my Lelya2.0 since April. It really just fits the gun..visually, size, and weight wise.
