Anyone heard of Pneuwa Cattleman Airguns?

I have two brand new Akelas, they're garbage actually and Crosman admitted they have become aware of "issues" with them, on one it keeps blowing breach seals, and the other one, the magazine jammed and broke the spring loaded ball that holds them. And so all I have from crosman is excuses and promises with no action.

Well this is damn disappointing !

I'll jus about bet that the man you talked to was Miss Victories Husband. He is in country for a while and runs the factory. Her Farther is over there overseeing the operation at the moment. And you are correct and he a nice fellow. Further, both strike me as very genuine. And nowadays, that is kinda rare.

I am working with Cattleman to iron out the few issues and they are being implemented as I type his. I receive no pay for this as I enjoy helping manufactures as well as members her and on other Air Gun Forums. And although not really active here, I have been involved in the Air gun forums or yeas with thousands of post. My hobby, which is full time now in my retirement is designing and testing slugs for both myself and a few companies. Again, at my expense. My Wife is very ill, and it keeps me at home where all my stuff is. LOL! It keeps my mind off how bad her condition is. It's been rough for me, and much rougher for her. She's a much better trooper than I.

My involve with improvements will be ongoing and will be continually testing improvements.

One of the reasons I do not frequent here much is being played out in this topic. People who have no idea in hell what they are talking about are bashing people they do not know, nor have any interest in. I hate what so many people have become. Just plain unabashed hatred for anything and everybody with a huge dose of ignorance and ego. UN-IMPRESSED! In truth, disgusted.

Rather than run other people down, try to actually go out and start a new business in todays economy. Perhaps you may one day become impressive. You may fail, but at least you will have made an effort be of use. No one is impressed with armchair experts with nothing but ill directed, uninformed opinions.

Thank you on Both Counts Sir! I'm loving that FLAG!!!

For what it's worth, yes, there were a few parts not ready for prime time. However, it is being addressed well. I've seen quite a few AG companies in the past 4 or 5 years come out with issue. Yet not anywhere the bad unleased on them. I have no idea why other than a bad reviewer. GRRRRR!!

For the unreal price for a Ataman rendition, They may very well end up being a game changer for many. It is good design. After all, it is a Russian design at the core. Hell bent for stout! Just a few tweaks left to do. 😉 And unlike everyone's favorite brand here, they are actually going to send some of the upgrades to the customers at no cost.

I felt like I needed to share this somewhere and this felt like the place. I want to start by saying that I am not posting anything out of anger or ill will towards the company. I just felt my experience needed to be shared. So I’ll start out by saying I’m trying to start a new YouTube channel. I only have a couple videos and 28 followers. I am nobody. I came across cattleman guns on Instagram a couple months ago (where I have 800 followers, a much larger audience) and started to do some research. I watched all the YouTube videos. Even the bad ones that are obviously fake (m&b..... idiot...nuff said...). Being a person who likes to make up my own mind about things I took those YouTube reviews lightly. I came to the conclusion that all this company really needs was some decent honest reviews. Someone willing to put in the work and find out what pellets or slugs work best for it. Not just people flinging lead and going wow look how fast it goes.... which we all know means diddly for accuracy. So for the sake of trying not to run on forever... I eventually decided to contact cattleman and see if they offered a discount for youtubers. NOT LOOKING FOR ANYTHING FREE. I told her how I was a no one. I didn’t even have videos posted yet. She was totally ok with that. Told me us little guys have to stick together and at that point she told me she would send me a gun for free. I was ecstatic!! New channel and a gun to review!! So she told me all she asked in return was an honest review. I said no problem I wont lie for anyone! Free gun or not. Which is why I feel compelled to post this. So after the first conversation before the gun is scheduled to be here I called to ask her some questions for the review. One of my questions was what makes you different from pishtov. At that point in the conversation she got kinda defensive and snotty and said I own the factory. Which we all know could mean a line in a factory that is all producing the same gun. Just to different specs for that company. Kinda like Snow peak with Diana, Artemis, and zsadar. At that point I changed the subject not wanting to upset her. So I tried to ask her about M&B and what’s she thought about his reviews. Couldn’t even finish the sentence. As soon as I said M&B she has to get off the phone and that was the end of that conversation. So I sent her a text message saying I just think you need a good group of guys to post actual accuracy videos and that will quite the nay sayers down some. That is why I was bringing up M&B. She responded and said “That’s exactly what I need thank you so much!!” Told me the gun should be at my house by the 15th. She also told me the model I was getting would be from a new batch. With a barrel band and the foster nipple included along with some internal improvements. ( I assume the ones Knife is talking about.) So I scheduled a vacation for that week of March so I would have plenty of time to do a proper review and the wait began. This was 23rd of February when I talked to her. So less than a month. No big deal. Well needless to say. The gun didn’t show up on time. When I contacted her towards the end of my vacation I was sent a ups tracking number with an emoji that I assume meant oops sorry. Of course it shows up my first day back. She asked me to skip the unboxing video. Said everyone has had enough of those. Go straight to the accuracy video. I told her ok no problem. But when I opened the box is when it got interesting. I’m going to share some pictures of what came out of the box. Keep in mind that the box was not damaged. Nothing wrong at all visibly with the package to suggest something happened in shipping.

So we will start with the stock. Keep in mind how you would feel if you had spent $500-$600 for your new gun and this is what you received. They get worse. So the areas I’m pointing at had a white crust when I pulled it out of the bag. The dark spot where left behind and the finish was eaten away. Some spots worse than others. But it was all over the one side pretty bad. I’m assuming it is some kind of grease from manufacturing. It looked like paint splatters and when I wiped off the white crust the messed up finish was left behind. Which I could have dealt with I guess if that was the only problem. I could have fixed it and refinished the brand new gun that just came out of the box.....

The next thing I noticed was a missing grub screw from the top of the gun. (This is threaded and not and anti recoil set screw. This is not done on pcp’s that I am aware of.)

Then we have the abrasion marks in the first picture. That is not a reflection from the light above. It’s just making the silver shine against the black. In the second picture you can see where it wasn’t even coated completely. With more abrasions....

The last one and the worst in my opinion. The guage.... it doesn’t matter that they are old Fx gauges... that almost all of them were off and not accurate by some amount. The problem is and I had a hard time getting the camera to focus on it. There is a crack in the gauge! Where I circled it in red. The face of the guage was also super scratched up. Almost like someone took the gauge before it was installed and rubbed it back and forth on the concrete. So I sent all of these pictures to Cattleman’s. She said wait a min that’s not the gun I sent you! Is your logo engraved on the side. Which yes it was. At that point she said to me well see if it accurate and run with it. Film the accuracy video if it’s accurate. Which I spent about $150 bucks (that won’t shoot in any .22 I own.) on various ammo to try in different weights and styles. I said ok I’ll do that tomorrow but I just want to point out either way that these issue should not exist out of the box. I told her I was not complaining and grateful for the opportunity multiple times and that I just wanted her to be aware of the issues. I could have just made a video blasting the company’s quality but I did not. She didn’t respond right away but about a half hour later I get a response saying you’re right. I hate to do this to you but send it back and I’ll rectify this. At that point I said thank you so much. I knew you had awesome customer service and would fix the problem. Her response was “No thank you for giving me the chance to rectify the issue.” She sent me a return label. That I had to pay to print myself... no big deal it was 2 bucks... So the day I dropped it off at ups. I sent her a message telling her I got it sent out. No reply from her.... Ok maybe she is busy... So I waited until the day after the gun was returned to her and tracking showed delivered. I sent her message just saying “Hey Victoria hope your day finds you well. Just want to make sure that it made it back to you ok.” No response. That was on April 1st and I still have not heard a word from her. I also need to add that the gun I received did not come with any of the included improvements she mentioned on the phone... when I asked her about them she said oh now way....That’s next months batch. (Her words exactly) Meaning April I assume.... which is not what I was told but she denied it in text message. But either way mute point as it seems what she meant by rectifying the situation was taking the junky gun back and disappearing on me. Which is fine. I didn’t honestly want to review or own the gun after all the controversy. So she asked me to do an honest review. Here it is with what I was presented. Take it or leave it. You make your own decisions about the company. I was never mean or disrespectful to her in anyway. Everyone have and awesome day and happy shooting!!

SKYOWA that's kinda vague there brother. I'm sure we would all listen man if you wanna elaborate a little. I honestly can't see the people I've dealt with saying anything to degrade the U.S. and infact I was praised by them for unrelated efforts regarding my current active stance on topics in the U.S. I am in no way saying you arent shooting straight man... I wouldn't disregard anything you have to say. Like I did say, I'm sure we all would listen brother.. if there is something you'd like us to know or just vent bro, I'll listen to you my man.

I related my experience, nothing to elaborate on. If they meet your standards, great, if you like the gun, great.

But this topic is being discussed on multiple forums, and my take away is that it's turning into a micro cult fan fight.

It's a business that imports rifles from Turkey, at a price point where the competition pretty much kicks it's ass.

Did he just make himself mad and cause himself to leave the forum? Thanks Phillk83 for taking the time to post. Lots of guys looking for guns that are in stock. They need this before they are one and done in this hobby.

Always be leery of one who joins a forum to "learn" and yet ALL posts are on a single thread........and talking in circles.

It appears Cattleman has given away more rifles than they have sold. By now you either love them or wouldn't touch em with a 10 foot pole. Seems like they appeal to newbies that are impressed with loud report and high velocity. At this point I'd rather keep my lowley Pishtov than roll the dice on one of these . I think Cattleman has lost potential buyers with false claims of quality and piss poor marketing (YouTube reviewers). Seems the only plus was they had a nice Walnut stock, now that is questionable. Anyway I would never buy one and cant believe this thread is still going. I only follow to keep up with knife makers progress and reports.

Mike (Knife) didn't make knives they were works of art !!

Thank you Sir! I sure miss it. Gov. made my close shop when my wife became so ill that paying the medical bulls were impossible. They put her on social security at age 39 and covered the medical bills. Catch was, I had to no longer make income. GRRRRR!!!

I make one knife and sell it which everyone in the Custom Knife Collecting circles would know and remark about on the Knife Forums, and no doubt the Gov would see it in short order. Do this and she looses the medical. It would be a Death Sentence.

Heck I don't ever own one of my knives. Can't afford one if one became available. 😥
