Anyone heard of Pneuwa Cattleman Airguns?

Just want to say one thing... M&B AIR GUN REVIEW ruined Cattleman business...could be nice budget gun.

B

Don’t think anyone here even remotely bashed the gun, we all saw it as what it is: another rebadged SPA gun aimed at lower price point/budget market and there is nothing wrong with that. More competition the better as I always say, drive down price and improve quality!

it’s the review that we all found “entertaining”! There has far fewer FX leaks and inaccurate threads and hating lately so rather quiet around here......granted I might have a shifting POI problem with my dream-tac compact so I’ll start a new thread just to keep it interesting later today. LOL

I've been negative to cattleman guns since the pistov samples were such junk. Maybe cattleman is offering a better product. Sure the you tube reviews are a joke but who knows these guns might be ok. I think they're overpriced but I'm poor. You long time members acting foolish is sad. You should be able to have an opinion without being bullied about. Let's get some of these guns out in the field and do some testing. Enough bad mouthing without any facts to stand on.

macabespeed just posted a shooting review. 2 1/2 -3 inch groups at 30 yrds. Way too much power for the 14 gr. CROSMAN he was shooting. This gun needs to be turned down or use a heavy pellet or slug and try again. I would not buy one based on that review.

Cheap gun that requires expensive pellets to be accurate wouldn’t make that gun expensive? That doesn’t make much cents to me.

All my FX shoot crosman pellets with great results and so do my “cheap” crosman guns, even my cheap Chinese PP700s shoot crosman pellets really well. Call me cheap but if a gun can’t shoot crosman pellets accurately then I ain’t buying it!

Oddly, I just rec's one of these guns from testing A member over on GTA apparently threw my name in the pot to the company as a tester. I was under the impression that he was sending the gun. I had no idea what it was or who made it. Not until it arrived tonight did I know it was from the company. One I have never heard of. I have no idea if it is to be returned as Is now see several people rec'd them for testing. Who knows?

My background is designing and testing slugs for both my own use and testing for several of the better known Slug manufacturers. I have been a slug shooter for over 14 years now. I am an accuracy nut. Only accurate guns interest me.

I do not sell my slugs, however several manufacturers are making a few of my designs. I accept no money for this. I simply enjoy it in my retirement.

I had many thousands of post on the Old TAG and well over 8000 on the GTA. I tell it like it is, good or bad. My opinion is usually regarded as tested results. Sadly, after seeing this fiasco, I hesitate to post anything at all on this AG unless it is bad, but will anyway. Good, bad, indifferent! I cannot be bought. Period!!!

I could care less as to all the childish back and forth. I wont engage in such drivel. I find it disappointed to see this type of thing in a shooting community. With so much already against us.

As far as all this My pecker is bigger than your pecker, I don't care what size your pecker is. And at my age, I don't care what size mine is either. So forget even starting it with me. I don't' give a poop!😁

Be a while, raining again. GRRR!!! At least it is not still an ice storm here. I am going ot air it and shoot a few of my cast pellet's over a chrony in a few minutes.

Man, it is one heavy sucker. Very trctical looking. Needs an alu. air tube for sure! I need to check the twist, grove dia. and size a few slugs to test, along with my hand cast pellets. 😉

Looking forward to your testing data as other "reviews" are nothing but entertainment.

I got it aired and fired a few in strong2400 Lumen thrower gun light tonight, in the rain. No scope, just to check velocity Results are odd. My 21 gr hand cast were 790's and the jsb 18's were 830. This won't do!

The hand cast took a hard left turn at about 40 yards to the left. Fired 5 with DonnyFL Tatsu which came with my Prototype Raptor, (which now wars a DonnyFL Shogun), and 5 without, so not a clipping issue. the JSB.s went straight and smooth. I will put probably the Zeiss scope on it and test for accuracy as soon as this darned rain stops. GRRRRRR!!!

I need to find an exploded drawing, as I have a good selection of springs here. Man, it sure twangs. That's easily addressed though. From what little I have seen in searches tonight, ti appears to have an Evanix clone valve which in the Evanix is a monster, even before mods, so there is much do here.

The way I review a new to me gun will put some people off. I for the most part, don't really care much about how it performs out to the box. Those that know me are aware that I look at platform as what it can be made to do. If the bbl is an issue II will first lap it an re-crown it. If that doesn't work, time for a new barrel. I have a good selection here from Walther, FX, and Powder Burner liners. I first and foremost have to get performance out it in the way for fpe before venturing its possible use as a slug gun, which is what I really enjoy the most. Ranges here in Texas are typically long, with wind. Not really friendly pellet territory.

I'm sure there will be every day typical reviews aplenty. I don't seem to do anything typical.

Please don't anyone tell me that modding the gun will void the warranty. I do my own sinking warranty work. I don't trust anyone to do it for me, Especially when the manufacture screwed it up in the firs place. No need fix their mistakes twice. What I want to see out of the box is a solid build with decent machine work with quality materials that can be taken further reliably. 😉

There are things I would like to know about the build. What is the receiver made of? Any heat treat, Barrel? Air Tube? What grade of material. They have started on a strong note for my needs in using a mono block. A huge +. Now to see what she is made of and machining quality. So far, I will say the barrel is solid, No flex, but oddly, one of the action screws securing the barrel is non existent. Just a threaded hole. I'm sure I have a proper set screw here some where. LOL

Knifemaker. I bought one of the first Pishtovs. The barrel only had one grub screw, I added one. It grouped around 2" at 30 yrds. After dressing the crown and breech, single loading, removing the junk regulator, it will now shoot mostly 1/2" groups. With some quality control, it could have been a decent gun. Mine has a beautiful walnut stock, which enticed me to by it in the first place. After constant leaking and no way to add a suppressor I decided to return it for a refund. Pishtov offered to send me a new barrel, new air cylinder, new magazine and o-ring kit, never happend. After some nasty correspondence from me they offered me 150.00 to just keep it as is. I have managed to add

a silencer and get it to shoot adequate for backyard only use. Bottom line it cost me 350. With the refund, and it been a project gun. It has a 10.5" barrel, which is fine, I wanted a carbine, not a long gun. It also was advertised to shoot 1000 to 1100fps. Mine with the regulator was shooting high 600's. There is no hammer spring adjustment. The thing is some buyers dont want to rebuild a 600 dollar gun to make it shoot right. At the price range there are a lot better choices. Maybe Cattleman did make some improvements, but it's still the same gun made by Milano. Looking forward to your results.

Yours is good looking for sure!

Yes they have indeed. Looked last night at it closely inside and out. Very good machining, Silencer ready and a fully tensioned bbl. Some hammer adjustment now, but lacking power. I will go deeper into it tonight. (Work a night here. Habit form Texas Heat)!, and much less wind. Its been terrible here.

Found the issue causing the swinging fps many remarked about. I tried to contact the company this morning. I wish to let them know the issue and how to address it I will hold of posting the finding until I talk to them. don't want to stab anyone in the back. I figure this is the reason they sent it for testing from me. I don't do promo vids. I just try to solve problems.

Hopefully they will agree to both address it, and send a replacement part to take care of it.

Either way, I will post the issue once I have contacted them. I hope with news from them with a cure. If not, I will be more than glad to give the info out here. Give me a few days. If I don't post it in a couple of days, I will be happy tp give the cure. 😉

Give it your best go Knife and see if something can be salvaged from this debacle. Hopefully you can get some decent performance out of that set up.

I gotta admit, bckyrdsnpr52 has a pretty cool looking rig set up and it would be a shame to see a platform with some potential go down in flames because of a YouTube ratchet head or some jabbering forum flim flam man.

Wow, what a thread. I love how you guys spotted the that ridiculous 4 in the same hole shot group 🙄. Then you go on to lump him in with other reviewers and bash them as well lmao 🤣. Later you all are like, this macabespeed is actually showing bad groups.. oops. To me that kid is the real reviewer. Supposedly he's interview M&B today at 3pm Pacific time. Maybe he'll be able to explain his super human shooting skills, I'm hoping for an apology to the community.

I was unable to get the valve out of the tube block. Figured it must have thread sealant on it. Thought abut adding heat, but that could destroy the poppet. Por in the bbl was a tiny .161 dis. Far too small to pas much air. No wonder thy are off in fps. I opened i up to .187 last night. Poppet stem is FAR too large in dia. Takes up too much room iin the valve body, again choking off flow. I wanted to turn it down, but again, I failed to remove the valve body from it tube.

The bbl shot terrible with both my cast slugs, (Probably too low fps, and poorly wth my cast pellets. The JSB 18 shot OK, but not up to my standards. I wanted oto know why. Well, the bore look like it was soaked in salt water and put away. I have never seen such aj pitted bbl. And the usual circle created wit a poor reem for the crown was very present as well.

The leade was off center, and no bevel into the rifling at all.

I lapped and polished the bore and re-crowned. Well see if it helped in a few minutes.

Now if I can just get the darned valve body off the tube, I can increase the port size and turn down the center section of the poppet stem to be better in allowing air to pass!

I tried to call the company yesterday, but only got "Leave a message" I will try again Monday. Apparently they sent me the gun to find any issues, and since that is what I do, I will follow up.

It is a good looking unit, with nice machining in the mono block. The bbl. apparently got away form the machinist, and it has terrible cuts on the outside Dia. as well. GRRRRRR!!!

I do appreciate the Tensioned bbl. It is very ridged. If a proper bbl. was present, it should preform well.

Knifemaker: Is yours regulated? Where in Texas are you, I'm in Pasadena Tx. it's been in the 80`s the last couple of days here.

No Sir! I do have a Reg from Huma for a Rainstorm. I need to mic the tube. May ver well fit, as it is a bit of a copy of a Kral, which is in turn a copy of Evanix.

Any hint of hw you defeated the thread sealant with damaging the poppet will be greatly appreciated.
