Anyone know the maker of this target?

Our club buys these from the Alco Target Company in Calif. There are other sources across the country so you don't have to pay shipping for long distances. The NRA number is B-40. We get the B-40/4 which has 4 bulls on one card.

The reason I ask about the target, is to see, if the maker is still in business, and if so, who imports these targets. They were designed for low velocity pistols (400 FPS + or - 50 FPS) and were superior to the targets of the time, as well as possibly today. They used very short fibers to give a very clean, caliber size hole. The other targets, even today, on low velocity pistols, won't leave a caliber size hole, at times, but removes a rather large section, as big as 1/4" section of the target. The only target that is almost as good is the German Krüger target.

Kruger targets are by far the best I have used at 10 meters with wadcutters at the speeds you describe. They cut a nice clean hole and are easy to score. They are available here http://www.kruger-us-targets.com

I do know of targets that DO shoot clean holes for 10m & such.

There is a local free paper that also sells recycled paper. Recycled paper has very short fibers, should give clean holes. I haven't tried it yet,but when I run out of the targets I've already printed I'll give them a try. What about using construction paper, not sure how well they'd run in a laser printer.
