Anyone out there build their own air rifle?

Thank you I appreciate all the positive and tips to get there...I been on alot forums for various things but never had to go to this extreme to be able to respond to the classifieds
Its a small price to pay but it keeps the scammers at bay. The good news is you only have to do it once. Even if the gun you're currently looking at is gone by the time you make the cut, another will pop up shortly. A lot of guys here treat guns like trading cards. Shoot one and have fun with it for a bit and then sell it for a different gun and then repeat.

Aside from a small piece of factory steel tube, I've got a 1322 that I built. Far from being built from scratch, but still enormous amounts of hand fitting and custom work/parts. Nothing original left aside from that bit of tube.

That is really cool..and thank you for taking the time to reply and the pic..this hobby could get dangerous haha (to the bank account)
I have built 6 of these in calibers from .177 to .457. Most parts are from Cothran. In some cases I spec'd things like airtube length. I do all my own barrel work starting with either TJ or LW blanks. So yes, you could use your barrels. You will need a lathe and the knowledge to use it.
