You don't need to commit a single crime nowadays to get raided and have your guns confiscated. With Red Flag laws someone just needs to say that you have guns and they are afraid of you.

my father was a wife beating alcoholic, but he had no guns because my mother would of shot him as dead or herself
Red Flag Laws might step on your toes but i have live the nightmare and i am 73 now and think about it every F--king day

and most of the time they take the guns but leave the ammo because the ammo is unless without the guns , a car without tires

and for those who life in hell as a child i understand and for those who missed that nightmare feel lucky

Sorry to hear that. My father was also a wife and child beater that ended up putting a gun to his head and pulling the trigger. That has nothing to do with decent citizens that are gun owners and someone reports them just to mess with them.
