Anyone shot a Brocock Compatto???

So.......my dad just ordered a Brocock Compatto. Has anyone had any hands on with one of these? What should he/we expect? He is stepping up from a talon SS.....so I know he will immediately appreciate the repeater aspect. Also comes with a huggett. I did notice the air rifle being introduced by that Daystate fellow in a youtube vid with Matt Dubber standing at his side. He said the Brocock line was Daystate's new mid level rifle line.

I own the 0.22 version and I love mine and not parting with it. It is one of the most accurate guns I own aside from quality PCP's such as the BSA R10 MK2 and my Air Arms PCP's. In the 0.22 version I'm shooting 15.9g JSB Exact King's for about 30 shots at roughly 27 ft lbs on high power. I never even tried the lower power as it doesn't save on air consumption. Mine came with a Huggett and it's very quiet and backyard friendly. I've killed about 8 pest squirrels within the span of two weeks and love the off-hand balance I get with it. Fairly easy to fill with a hand pump as well. Trigger is excellent. Love the Picatinny rail on the bottom - fitted it with either an atlas bipod or the ATN Shot Trak hunting camera when I want to record my hunts. Perfect hunting gun for my type of shooting.

Thank you.......so far good feedback. Would like to hear a few more.

It's a very nice gun and shoots well. However, I think it's a bit overpriced for what it is. My guess would be around $800. I shot an Ataman carbine back to back and this one is more accurate, has a much better trigger, and the workmanship is outstanding. The only think I didn't like about the Ruskie is the magazine. It's rather complex and cost too much. The Compatto would be a great plinker and knock around gun. For about the same money, you could get a BSA R10 which is superior.

I have one in .22 (FAC (full power that is)), and I wanted the Huggett Belita as well for the compactness and looks, but the gun emits a dry sharp noise when fired, (as perceived from one meter away abeam the muzzle) so then I tried the standard Weihrauch moderator, and it does a much better job to lessen the noise. (then again it is 8 centimeters longer than the Huggett Belita, so much bigger baffle room to absorb the sound). I figure that if you have a Compatto for the UK market (limited to only 12 footpounds) it is whispersilent indeed with the Huggett.

Then again, I think that for you U.S. guys the Huggett is more than "backyard friendly" enough. (Here in The EU ppl are much less used to shooting (as in: None. At. All) and the noiselevels and such accompanied with it, so unless you're out in a very deserted rural place it's best to not let anybody know what you're doing, not even the neighbors and not even when on your own property...) (that's the bad part, the good side of the coin is that there are hardly any firearms deaths.) (not saying that it's your laws that are causing all the misery, but there must be something in our society, as there are many more firearms per capita say in Canada or e.g. Switzerland than in the US, and yet much, much less firearms related deaths per year. (but I know, this is an airgun forum (and my first post even...) so let's steer away from that can of worms...;-) )

Anyway the Compatto is a nicely built and very compact (hence the name...(that' s what it translates from in Italian...) full size and very light and well built airgun.
As the previuous poster said, (for the non UK inhabitants) it is overpriced indeed, in the UK the cost IS around US$800, the price in the US is US$1000 WITH the Huggett, and the price here in Holland is a staggering US$1100. WITHOUT the Huggett that is!!! (that will set you back another $135... :-( )
Can't say anything about the accuracy yet, as I just got it last week, but it produced only 20 shots from 200 to 100 BAR and it didn't group whatsoever, so I sent it back and have a replacement on the way.
I will report back when I have results of the new one!

Accuracy is good out to 135 yds. I will not compare it with other guns as I don't have any experience with them. I got what i wanted . A very good balance of many things that i wanted in an airgun. With JSB 25.39 gr. I've taken pest birds out to 135 yds. and was very impressed with the accuracy maybe more If you want to push it with a heavier projectile. Very very Quiet good for the second shot. I have a permission at a dairy in north washington. I shoot grain fed pigeons to keep the POP down and save the farmer money. Usually at 45 to 60yds. Good meat. Everything about the compatto is what I wanted....Maybe alittle more ! Buying more jsb's .....5000 is not enough !

Now that is some good info. I also read somewhere that the barracuda match 21gr was a very good pellet in the .22 compatto.....will test them too. Im going to test every pellet in my arsenal through it anyways......then post a review with full crono string etc. I know my Dad is exited/chomping at the bit to get her in and start shooting. I just hope its accurate.

Shooting the barracuda match this wkend. I reAlly love this stock trigger. It is around 1.2 lbs and liquid smooth. The sear disconnects Predictably especially on the long range shots. Did have an issue with the valve opening to pressurize the cyl. But got that sorted out. Love my patto 25 accurate and hard hitting. Handling is very nice in the bush as well at the range. Works well on the bottle 2850 psi ... Print paper all day.
