AoA continues to be a leader in customer service

Howdy All
I needed to say a great BIG THANKS to AOA and more specifically Darren Schollmeyer and Jared Clark pretty sure it was Jared, I’m really bad with names. Anyway I found out first hand the extent of the AOA / FX divorce back in 2020. Just before their divorce in 2020 when they were a happy couple and Matt Dubber was visiting with all the other FX crew for Extreme Benchrest. FX was side by side with Daystate on the shelves, I bought my FX Crown .22 Mk1, with Forest Green Laminated stock. i topped it with an Aztec Emerald 5.5-25 x 50 scope. It has been a great airgun, unfortunately as so many airguns do it acquired an air leak which after some troubleshooting I decided I did not want to attempt a fix so living in Phoenix, I’m just 30 miles away from AOA so off I went. The outcome of the divorce was AOA cannot purchase any FX parts, guns, etc. So I would either have to send the Crown to North Carolina or Utah Airguns or some other authorized dealer out of state this time and any other time my Crown needed repairs, lots of money wasted on shipping. I have to say I was a bit hot under the collar and acted as such inappropriately, for which I have apologized several times. After about 10 minutes of discussion I was looking at a used Daystate Wolverine HP-R, then I was shooting it, then I was asking how much is a 0DB 160S moderator, then I’m asking what was the deal on a trade-in for my leaky Crown. They swapped scopes, sighted in the Wolverine, and gave me a tin of JSB Redesigned Jumbo Monster 25.39gr along with the case. The FX Crown and $645.00 remained with AOA. When I got home I realized how much other FX stuff I had that needed to go with the Crown. I had an arrow kit with 12 arrows 6 fletched 6 unfletched, 2 magazine, a single loader, the original shroud as I had replaced it with an Air-Fective Tuning Carbon shroud and moderator. I took all this stuff to AOA this morning and Darren gave me 6 more tins of JSB’s.

When I left the store yesterday I was still unset and was not thinking about the good deal I got under the circumstance, AOA still has to send the gun off to NC to have it fixed and I have an awesome new Daystate to go with my Daystate compressor. What I think most upset me was the resulting AOA / FX divorce and the affect it had on FX customers here in Arizona. I don’t know all the details and we don’t need to air them here it’s just unfortunate the outcome. AOA has made me an even more loyal customer.

Before and after

Two weeks or so ago I posted about taking my FX Crown, which I purchased from AoA before the divorce, in for service, only to find they are not allowed to buy FX parts. Frustrated with the situation I was in I jumped to a hasty trade of my own making and got a wonderful Daystate Wolverine HP-R .22 great gun. I shoot mostly target and in my younger years I shot 10m air pistols as a HOBBY. I had a Hammerli at one point and later on a Feinwerkbau and I really enjoyed the extremely light triggers that can be set up and that has carried through all my shooting. Well in effort to try to achieve that light trigger release on the Wolverine I messed things up good so I went back to AoA and explained what I did, fessing up to my error. I asked them to fix it ($150) and told them what I was hoping they could achieve being the experts and they said you want a Red Wolf. They had one on the rack and it had that wonderful extremely light trigger and I fell in love. Below my new Red wolf in .22, walnut stock, 0dB moderator came along for the ride, not the best photo. They took the Wolverine back and gave me a full credit towards the Red Wolf. When they brought out the first one I noticed an unusual mark when the screen had a reflection on it so they got another one 2nd setup. Many may say that is what they should do and I agree but there are other companies (not just airgun) that don’t. Probably if I had been of clearer mind I would have done this to begin with. I think that AoA treated me extremely fairly and as always everyone is so friendly. Lots of pellets to try even though I the JSB redesigned 25.39 were recommended, shot at medium power.

Being in Phoenix and 20 miles away from AoA I get to experience the top level customer service from AoA up close and personal 😆. Had two issues resolved.

First was with my Daystate compressor resolving a leak I had at the gauge/ pressure motor shutoff piece. The compressor tech looked it over, replaced the bad gauge seal and also put on a new pressure shut off and gave it a good workout. Then reported the it was the best running LC110 that he has seen in a long time. What excellent news and No charge.

Second when I bought my FX Crown in 2019 I bought an Aztec Emerald 5.5-25x50 SFP, when I traded the Crown for the Red Wolf HP the Aztec road on top for a while but I recently replaced it with a Sightron 10-50x60 FT IR with MOA-2 reticle. As I only have 1 airgun I wanted to sell my used Aztec but I had a couple of concerns so I took it over to AoA last week so they could check it out. Got a call from Jacob this morning and yes one of my issues was a known problem with the 1st gen Aztec. Jacob said it was covered under warranty but he did not have an SFP only FFP and he got approval to upgrade me to the FFP if that was ok. I didn’t think long on that offer and now have a brand new Aztec Emerald 5.5-25x50 IR FFP to sell.

Big thanks to everyone at AoA everyone there are great people.
