AOA will make it right

I bought my Daystate Red Wolf .177 HP from AOA in Nov 2020.
When I spoke to a sales rep (Lauren) I was under the impression that the pump (Hill Mk5 Air Pump with Dry-Air System) will arrive "no longer than a few days" after the gun does. I said "I can wait a few days". Upon receiving the much anticipated gun, the invoice stated that the pump is on "back order" without specifying an exact date of arrival.

Realizing there's no way I'm being left hanging after spending more than $3K, I called AOA and spoke to Rich who stated that they're not sure when that specific item will be back in stock (what?) however, realizing that I'm in a jam, he would send me tomorrow the pump they do have, without the dry-pack system and reimburse me for the $20 difference in price by throwing in a couple of tins. I said "that works". A week later the pump arrived and what do you know, in the box I found the original Pump WITH the Dry-Air System and an extra 2 tins. So a big thanks to AOA (and Rich) for making things right/

I can understand shortages (with Covid and all), but don't sell me a product that you don't have AND you don't know when exactly you'll have it, just for the sake of making a sale. Would you be ok with buying a luxury car just to have it parked in your garage waiting for its wheels to arrive? A little more transparency goes a long way. Thankfully, Mitch saved the day👌
