Apologies to JTS and readers

well at least you didn't stuff a couple too big in a smaller caliber and jam things up..
mistakes happen, myself I once had the lids swapped between jsb monster redesigned 25 grain pellets and jsb 34 grain beasts..
I couldn't figure out how my pellets shrunk 🤣🤣
it's all good, I commend you for saying you made a mistake, lots of people won't say..

I once spent 3 magazine of pellets wondering why my gun POI was all over the place. Turns out I loaded the pellets in the magazine backwards. Went to load magazine #4 and noticed what end of the pellet was facing me.

I sometimes do that just for a extra big hollow point.. close range only.. don't seem to make much difference at 50 yards on 3" spinner.. but gives it a pretty good smack.

to be fair you actually make yourself more credible and honest owning up to a mistake..I didn't see it but seems like it was a honest mistake too..
good for you 😊.. I'll try to watch for your name and pay attention to what you say..
I have several people that I well I guess follow, follow button don't seem like it does anything but I tend to read things from user names that I recognize..

Don’t be too hard on yourself. I’ve seen a couple topics over the years when we all confess the dumbest stuff we ever did. You’re still close to genius level compared to what I and others have done. Heck, just a month or so ago I shot a laser bore sighter halfway to my 30 yard target. No alcohol involved. But texts from a woman while setting up a gun may have contributed.

lol! i did the same thing with the notos insert about 1 month after getting it. i forgot to put the retaining pins back on after smoothening out some rough edges before putting it back on. that thing flew out about 50’ like an RPG.

Forgot to put the shroud cap on a Marauder once and had to search the back yard for all the baffles and spring. I eventually found them all.
I guess I didn't tighten the grub screw all the way for the moderator on my Talon SS. Shot the moderator 20 feet and all the parts scattered around the yard. Found the last piece two days later.

IIRC I found the last one on the same day the replacement set arrived.
My last piece was the one of the vinyl inserts, like thick garden hose. I had a piece of aluminum tube that was close to the same size. So I stuck that in.

It was like 75 degrees off the centerline where I found all the other parts. I literally stepped on it. Not being an aerodynamic shape probably played into where it fell.

Mark I appreciate the very kind words. Since falling into this air gun thing I’ve gotten hooked on this forum. This never happened to me before. I have explained is other posts I have joined only 2 other forums to glean information from and rarely comment. This was mostly because of lack of knowledge of the subject. Since I have been in shooting sports from 14 years old ( 54 years) I feel I can contribute.

I was just in waiting area to get an ultrasound, everyone around had a cell phone in their face. I often think what is the world looking at. As soon as I got home , a coffee and iPad to check in here. That and try again to return an unbelievable poor
Hatsan pistol to Krale and a wrong size Airguns tank to Tuxing.
thanks to everyone here
and sorry to JTS for my mistake

I have a bad left eye. Thankfully right eye dominant. I write pellet weight on the can lid and can bottom with a thin sharpie so I don't mix them up. I only have .22 now so no caliber mix up. Dang .22 is getting smaller. I think I need.30 just to load mags easy. The wife says no.
Yeah, I don't even touch my .177 anymore. Not enough dexterity left in these hands. If those darn .22 don't stop getting smaller, they are next.

Ya know after the fact I certainly wish I went for a 22 for my Daystate revere. I was new and thought something different would be cool. The gun can’t handle the 25. I have since bought only 22 s . And as much as I like being able to mess with guns without leaving home I’m sticking with 22 s only.

Ive done the same thing so NOW, I put a piece of tape on the lid and also on the bottom of the tin, it's easy to get them mixed up if your shooting a bunch of dirrdetnt pellets at the same time..and alot of the look alot alike.

Who HASN'T took apart a air rifle or firearm and has a tiny piece go flying SOMEWHERE, and say wwwhhaattt....then start searching for whatever is was. GUILTY more times that 1.

Mine was fired off the end of the rifle.

Had to find this topic again to ease @blackdog899 mind even further. Was testing mods last night with a .30. Was jumping between 75 and 100 yards. Came back to 75 yards to test the one mod a final time. Squeezed the trigger and poof, complete darkness out there. I left my scope set for 100 and shot the light to pieces at 75. Done for the night. Repairs made this evening.
