Arca Rail to Picatinny Bipod

Received my new Skout Epoch last week and added the Arca rail. All of my bipods mount to picatinny. What do I attach to the Arca to accept the picatinny? I found only 1 solution on Amazon for $45. Don't want to spend big $$ to do this.

Also why the industry switch to Arca if they don't offer solutions for many guys like me.

Amazon product is pictured

Hi Shamu
instead of buying the mount, i used the bottom M-loks to secure a picantnny rail
I purchased this pack from amazon. I wasn't certain which size i needed, so the variety was great. Plus, they didn't all fit into the m-lok
The one problem i did run into was that the screws were too short to fit on the Skout arca rail. The pack provided 12mm m4 screws...you need a 16mm m4 to fit the rail.
bought a pack of m4 screws
All of it together is a lot slimmer than using that mount

I’ve used both now and I prefer arca as a forearm rail as I find it slightly more comfortable, but then again arca’s kind of a one trick pony. It attaches to tripods really well and that’s about it. You can also slide an arca rail clamp to your preferred location. I think arca ended up being adopted simply because it was already in widespread use with photographers.

Mlok is best of all as it’s comfortable to grip and you can easily attach the rail of your choice to it.

I did this too with my Epoch, longer screws and a cheap multipack of pic rails on Amazon. Measured the rail and purchased long screws since they aren’t standard MLOK length. I think maybe 14m screws and then sanded them down so there was no extra to hit the bottle.

I have also purchased an ARCA to pic adapter. I got the Delta from Utah Air. I wasn’t happy when the pic rail portion came as plastic, but it works. (I was ok cheating out on plastic parts from Amazon, because knew they were plastic and cheap.)

generally speaking.... ARCA gives the best overall SECURE attachment... and a good ARCA adapter or bipod is money well spent.
the more things you add to make things adapt... the more wiggle becomes a factor. Less is more. IMO.

Don’t disagree, but when you don’t have the right bipod, you have to find workarounds until you do… easy to test at $10-$40 vs another $300 bipod for one rifle.
