Arca Swiss clamp question

I want to attach a Arca Swiss clamp to a wooden block, attach that to the K&L rail on my MKII and then clamp it into my Death Grip tripod. I don't know how big of a clamp I would need to buy that would safely hold 12-14 pounds (extra capacity to be on the safe side). I will cut the wood block between 4-5". Possibly longer if I think I need to offset the rifle to get the center of mass near the center of the tripod.

They make Arca to Picatinny adapters. you could skip the wood block.

Subway Photo NP60 or something similar.is about $39. It would work perfectly unless I’m missing something. If you’re Death Grip is strong enough, it won’t have to be centered, so you can skip the wood. A standard Arca plate will work, bigger isn’t necessarily better, there’s only so much contact area on the Death Grip.

I've converted all of my tripods and bipods to Arca. The female Arca clamps are pretty cheap and so is picatinny rail and with a drill and tap you can do whatever you want.
