Are Edgun barrels polished?

I don't think that they are but of the 4 different ones I've owned I find the barrels very very easy to clean. After a tin of pellets and about 50 slugs I decided to clean my R5M barrel. Only 3 with ballistol and 2 dry patches with the patch worm and they were clean. Found similar ease with other Edguns I've had. Most other barrels I've owned seem to take double that. And I hadn't cleaned the barrel since I got it.

Not by Ed, ie no additional treatment like the s510 and the like get, but they are spec. stock from lw.....now some are going to be coming from Alpha when ??? and what cals.??? so far Ed has said .25 and maybe .22 for home market.. from what he has shown he is content with them.

I was in the firearm mfg business many years and I understand what he means here, after you see so many and test so many you get a sense of what they are capable of even before full break in.

I have noticed the same with my edguns honestly as to being easy to clean and requiring very little. we used to refer to bbls. "shooting black" very quickly.

Kind of curious about the Alpha bbls. I know a lw poly I made recently will go back and forth between slugs and pellets almost at will (1 shot of each after the change of ammo and its good to go) and needs only about 20 shots after cleaning to be shooting its best,,, I have no Idea how long that is really...I didn't get to shoot till it fell off!

Ps I made bbls. a long time and I'll just say be careful with "polishing" folks...its easy to do more harm than good...that said a low velocity lead projectile bbl. cannot be too slick....but a jacketed bullet bbl very easily can!!!! topic for another day.
