RWS Are the newer Diana/RWS 34 any good?

Before I got into PCPs as an adult my first gun back was a Diana/RWS 34P .22. I really enjoyed the gun and honestly would love to get one back. I sold it after getting into PCPs and fell to the Dark side. However I see they changed them and the original style is no longer for sale? Now there 34 EMS? I like a polymer stock for the dairy but open to the wood if they are better.

After going through 3 of them, won't touch the 34 EMS again. Its a setup begging for the aftermarket upgrades for sure. I'm totally stoked about the older 34's with iron front and rear sights. Set my son and daughter up with the older 34's and I'm impressed with how good both of them are with them. Had a few others which I turned for a profit to jump into pcps. I still have a hard time not picking them up when at a too low price. I'm not into tuning them, but the older ones sometimes need some service to get them back into top running shape. I will digress some, maybe they improved quality and if the EMS rocks for ya - glad it does.

I bought the 3400 RWS from AoA. I was told by a forum member that it was a parts -bin gun. They were right. It turned out to be a pos.

I hate any airgun with a plastic muzzle break with a sight. So I love the current Diana 350 and the vintage 34.

Lol well I was thinking the same thing when I saw them compared to what I remember my 34P being. Bummer. I really would love one like what I used to have but I guess could just go with a R9 in .22 instead. Have a HW30S .177 I really like just wanted the Diana again.

Well daina and snowpeak are bed fellows so you kinda wonder is it full German or a Dianapeak mongrel today ..lol

My current rws 34 is very good but I'm not sure the ems. Mine is the one with plastic break but it's so accurate . Pic is my two springers
