Are these sparrows or finches?

I have quite a few birds that look the same. Males are obviously easy to spot, but these females in the pics from my scope cam, can someone tell me for sure these are HOSPs. Thanks.

They have the conical beaks and longer legs and tails, but its hard to tell.

The top could be a female, but the bottom could pass for a finch or tit. Hard to tell with the quality of the images. I default to don't shoot if you don't know.

female house finches have a motted breast feathers, , where as the house sparrow, females have a smooth grey coloring breast.

Got 2 confirmed male HOSPs this time around. Made sure they had their breast towards me so I could see the black throat. Getting this side shot working finally, need a better camera but it works for now. 25 caliber FX hybrids going 830 fps.

One sure way to tell is finch meat is a lot tougher to chew than sparrow meat!

Here is the second vid, bird in the shade so it's way easier to see. Even with a 5 inch shade on my scope it still picks up alot of light on the camera.

 What camera are you using? Can you reset exposure or whiteness balance for really bright situations? Sometimes "auto" settings don't cut it & I have to adjust manually (Tactacam).

I am saying they are Finch because of the beak.

Like Thomas said abive, house finches have a thick rounded beak shape and males have red heads and throats along with mottled breast feathers.

You SHOULD be able to manually adjust exposure on that. It will make a big difference in clarity.

well,, NO!
#1 it is against the law
#2 I do not have a reason to kill them all
but every house sparrow I see at my feeders becomes cat food. My yard cats get upset when I miss. The cats hear the pellet gun and it sounds like their dinner bell.
in my area , I can legally shoot year round as pest,, Eurasian collared dove, Starlings, and English House sparrows. I have five varieties of sparrows that visit me, only the House sparrows are under population control of the five. I forgot,, pigeons
