Mormon Lake, Arizona
Location: At milepost 324.5 on Lake Mary Rd – 20 miles south of Flagstaff, or 9/10 mile north of the upper access road to Mormon Lake. The range is on the east side of the road on National forest property, which we are permitted usage through a lease agreement. Access through closed gate (It will be marked), follow the gravel lane approximately 50 yards, and then bear right to the site. Primitive camping is available for motor home, travel trailer or tent. No electric hookups or water is available on site. Portable-restroom will be available.
Lodging is available at various motels in Flagstaff, approximately 20 miles north of the shooting venue, or at Mormon Lake Lodge, located about 8 miles south of the shooting venue (www.mormonlakelodge.com). Check Google Maps for area specifics and location.
Pistol Match will consist of 40 shots on Friday starting 2:00 pm. Sight in 1:00 pm
Rifle Match will consist of 52 shots on Saturday and 52 shots on Sunday. Sight in 8:00 am both days. Saturday start time is 9:30 am and Sunday 9:00 am. AAFTA Grand Prix rules will apply for all matches.
Match fees are $20.00 for pistol match and $65.00 for rifle match for shooters that are pre-registered. Preregistration is open until September 10, 2019. Late registration, or the day of the match will be $30 for pistol and $75 for rifle per shooter.
Make check out to Airgunners of Arizona, and mail to the address on the registration form.
Box Lunch will be provided on Saturday following the match for all registered participants. Non-shooters can join in for $15.00. The annual raffle is up in the air at this point in time. Covid-19 protocols are still in effect and we will have to remain in compliance. Distancing, face masks, personal hand sanitizer, etc. are requested.
Match Awards will be presented on Sunday as soon after the match as possible.
Medals will be awarded 1st thru 3rd, per class, with additional awards as needed based on number of shooters registered at deadline. A state champion medal (AZ resident) will be awarded for each class. High junior, High Senior (65+), and High out-of-state will also be awarded.
