Arken ep5 5x25x56. ! UPDATE !

Received a pair of ep5 Monday for the .25 n .30 uragans... the first one tested parallax is way of ..complete focus of 100y at the 70y mark-- complete focus of 500y at the 200y mark .. will test the second one to see if both need to go back.. aside from that every thing else is awesome for the money... at 39 Oz be sure to use it in a bench gun.... yup 39 Oz .. 👍

There are alot of quality control issues with Arken brand. If you get one that works as it should then they are good for the money.

I'd stay away from the SH4 6-24x50 the rest are ok if you get a good one.

The owners at Arken should really go through each and every single scope before they offer them for sale to avoid all of this unnecessary grief from their buyers.

This really makes the dealers selling them look bad too.

Problem with warranty return you might have to wait a very long time if they don't have a new scope in stock to trade you with.

Honest review worth watchimg. Towards the end he does not recommend the brand due to quality control and warranty issues. He is an Arken dealer.

Watch starting from the 10 minute mark if you don't have the patience to watch from the beginning.

I have 3 sh4 - 4x14 -- 2 EP4 - 6x24 .. 1 sh4-4x16 so far all flawless.. only a minor parallax thing with this one..everythingelse is great glass etc .. I have had it way worst with other brands... I would not have purchased 2 if I had problems with the other ones..every company will have some mistakes when there is volume involved..n some bad apple that don't give a crap n only want to get over with his 8 hour shift. That is if they could even find the people needed you know how is going these days

The parallax is off on my Arken as well, however it doesn't really matter if you are using a range finder.

To be clear at 50 yards my turret reads 65-70 yards. This scope is wicked on long range slug setups. And if I need to shoot closer than the minimum 25 yard parallax I just dial back my magnification. The reticule is very usable even at the lower mag and it doesn't look blurry.

I have tested over 20 arkens , They are Good scopes for the money , compare the EP5 for $500with the rings scope caps , level to say a good 34mm 5x25 scope like a ATACR or say a Schmidt bender 5x25 , well the good scopes cost $3k to $4k

The guy who did review kind of hit the point they good for the money , you can get the features same as the PM2 or ATACR for $500 but , they are not even close to same optic ,

Every Arken optic I tried some zoom was soo stiff you needed a lever to move it , as some say parallax numbers do not line up , well they dont have to as long as it gets a good clear picture , the wheel can be adjusted if you want to have it closer to yds but I preferno markings at all on parallax ,

The scopes are for entry level shooting where you dont need a good optic also , just to make one last statement I found any of their optics unable to go beyond 70% of magnification with out having such a horrible image quality that it is not worth it ,

meaning here is example 4x16 works well 4x to say 10x max , the 5x25 good from say 6x to 12x , after this when you zoom you are zooming in on lens defects which distort image quality

turrets seem great for $ now weight well the EP5 is heavier then my ZCO 36mm tier 1 optic ugggggggg

I emailed ARKEN optics about the parallax issue asking for a rma for a refund..why those scopes were for my uragan. 25 n .30 which I always use in the same place so is really annoying now to be able to focus at least close to parallax marking...the recommend to give a try on the adjustment on the fast focus knob to take my time marking sure it was in the proper place for my eye relieve.. in my experience with other scopes I never had to play to much with the fast focus but I tried as suggested.. n to my surprise it worked.. I really didn't know that if the fast focus was a bit out for place it will change the point of focus on the scope..aside from that..I have no othe grief with the scopes so they are keepers for my use ...in the low magnification the sh4 4x14 works great up to 14 powe n the sh4 4x16 for me it works up to 16 power.. but my other high magnification scope the Athlon 10x40 I use them at 28 power..the ep4 at 20 power the ep5 22 power max ..is not only their line I imagine most budget High magnification scopes up $1200.. can't be used on max power .. in my case I don't see any gains buying a $3000 scope for a air gun .. I could shoot 300y max .. not even in the range they are only up to 200y.. only 2 military range go up to 1000y usually aviable by appointment only .. if I had the time to go to the country then I could have 500 to 700y .. when I managed to have more time..to enjoy a tier 1 optic , i definitely go for it..

Mine has been flawless.. great little scope. My Athlon ETR is better… but for the price, you can’t go wrong with the EP5.
