Arken optics - has posted today a new line of " lighter " scopes available in 4x16 n 6x24 in 30mm with a modified version of the , for me great old reticle.

These are perfect for airgunners. They focus down to 10 yards, Japanese lenses, and light weight (23.7 oz.) Somebody was listening.

But the SH4 GEN2 6-24X50mm more tickle my fancy, but sadly they do not cost 300 USD over here in EU ville i see them at 700 USD
Really i want to not buy a Element scope as that is what everyone else do.
Arken bring US prices to EU, and i will buy in a heartbeat.

I got the email notification today, too. I have wanted to try out an Arken for a long time, but the 30+ ounce is prohibitive on a pesting rig.
Also a fan of the the reticle. Cant wait to look at some of reviews.

I’m excited for these. My only gripe with my Arkens is weight. Now that will be solved, AND Japanese glass to boot!

Not completely accurate. The weight isn’t always based on size of tube. It’s usually based on number of lenses. The cheaper the scope, the more lenses they use to get good glass quality. Some of the “higher end” manufacturers are able to use higher quality lenses and coatings, and cut down the number of lenses needed. This greatly reduces weight. That comes at a price, and sadly more than I can afford!

As soon as I got the email, and noticed they focus down to 10 yards I hit the buy button. My EP5 is my go to and the new EPL4 seems the perfect scope for the air gunner in me! I guess Im going to be forced to buy another gun to put this one on...Come on in Vulcan 3

not sure why they capped the windage turret i think its stupid and pain in the a hole to have to remove it if you got to move it, ill sure not run the cap this will be nice scope for sure, hopefully they get in before 6 weeks as dealers cant cant them till they are in stock gtta love arken they dont want a bunch pre orderes to glog up the system great job illl have them for sale soon as available
