Your .22 Looks good (who built it for you)? Did you decide to keep it or is still for sale?

I see your rifle posted in a few of the armada threads, some I have read & or posted in I see posts like:
"Dave makes good stuff. His Teryx chassis makes the Armada look like a toy gun" or " This is what they should have looked like"

(I can tell you have a rather strong dislike for the armada furniture). We all love our AGs I guess.

Was nice to see a positive comment this time.

When you do good work you drserve the credit.
My rifle was built by GTA's YEMX. He did a fantastic job, all I did was buy it from him!
As to the For sale question, I have decided to just enjoy it for a while. It's not to say I may not swap it for a nice Euro PCP someday, but I'm in no hurry. It's great for the back yard, quietest air rifle I have!

You can buy pretty much any part for Crossman air guns from their service center and they are generally much cheaper than parts for any other brand. They do a nice job with it and you can really see the benefit of their larger scale and more efficient manufacturing processes.

I bought a Benjamin Bulldog stock from them and it was approx $11 per half (left side and right) if I remember right. It's all very cheap except for handguards which, for some reason, are universally expensive. $22 for a bullpup stock is nothing though. It is low quality but still...

I am not sure if the magpul Armada kit is available from the service center. I think that might be the only one you can't buy separately. 

Anyone working on a diy air rifle could probably save a bunch of time by buying some off the shelf parts from Crossman.

My experience, you can source all of the AR parts MUCH cheaper than Crosman ie; buffer tube, castle nut, stocks and grips etc.
Their proprietary or dedicated armada parts of course Crosman is the only place to buy. Might want to also source the fastners (nuts and bolts for the rails) elsewhere also. Can save a $$ doing that. Im a PB gunsmith for a living so I have an abundance of that stuff in the shop....one of the draws of the armada furniture for me.

Crossman probably don't make the AR parts. I have definitely seen cheaper buffer tubes and shoulder stocks as you say. Do you happen to know of any generic handguards that would fit a Marauder instead of using the Armada one?

I have seen quad rail handguards used on Marauders and AT44's for bullpup conversions on another forum so I know that there are some that will fit both the barrel and air tube. It's just hard to identify which ones would work as they rarely advertise the inside diameter in the specs...

Most seem to have luck with repurposed 10/22 handguards.
Guessing these are the ones your were referencing:







Not sure if blackhawk is a member here....he can be found on other forums maybe he can give more insight (those were from a post by him).

I have noticed some use Magpul MOE handguards on prods before.
I have milled down 7075 free float handguards before...even used on to make a 1377 pump forearm once. 



I'll look around the shop and see if I have any with an ID that's close enough (I'm sure some material from the ID will need to be removed).
I only have AR free floats at the shop, sorry I don't stock 10/22 handguards/rails (only trigger,bolt, and receiver internals for the 10/22 platform).
Also a quick adapter could be made so that it bolts to the armada in its OEM locations, probably a good idea to fab a mount for the front, unless you keep the shroud band? 

I'm not sure you will find one lighter (that's full length) than the armada OEM forearm though unless its plastic, fiberglass used in airsoft, or carbon.

That was one of the handguard mods I was thinking about. I'm surprised it was from a 10/22. I was thinking that, with it needing to fit an air cylinder and shroud, the handguards would have either been from a larger caliber firearm or a shotgun (as they have to incorporate the magazine tube). 

I would probably source a carbine length one if I wanted it to be lighter. As nice as the armada one looks, I think that full length rails are overkill. Once you have enough room for a fore grip, bipod, scope, laser and light, I run out of ideas for the rest of the rail space.

Do any of your freefloat AR handguards have enough internal space to fit a PCP rifle? I am curious if the barrel nut would fit an air rifle barrel in the non-shrouded section.

Gunbros where did you find the Armada parts for sale? I looked through the Crosman website and l found nothing. Hell l couldn't find an exploded view of the damn thing!??? I want to do a ground up build with only the parts l want from the beginning. So finding a parts list and pricing is a basic first step. I've built many AR's and Glocks l think this would be a great addition to my build bug. Thanks ahead

And the Cothran Powerhhouse option. Or a barrel upgrade. I want to pick and choose part not replace parts I bought and don't want. That's the exact reason I build my own AR's.

You have to call for Armada parts. They don't have much info online for that model. You can order any part you want over the phone though.

Look under Crosman manuals for the BTAP22MX. It is the .22 Magpul version but all the Armada hardware is the same.
