Arrows as Pesting Markers…

I have lots of arrows that I have damaged over the years. Of late I have been using them to mark known woodchuck burrows, etc… Then I range find the distance and gain an advantage over the critters… Today I marked three different locations where the chucks saw me first…

I use my broken arrows along with some marking tape as wind flags. Works great when I remember to bring them.

I like pest marking idea, that is a Wile E Coyote move for sure!

Thanks for the ideas on repurposing broken arrows. I usually find myself using sticks that I drive or pound into the earth as markers for ranging. If there’s litter scattered about, sticking an aluminum can on top of the stick works well.

Does your scope have the Ballistic Calculator feature? That feature alone is what drew me into the ATN camp, as it takes the thinking out of the process, and I can concentrate on better trigger discipline.

Good idea. I use cheap reflectors on the plastic stick they sell at Lowe’s. I put them every 20 yards in my shooting food plot area for predator hunting. Not able to range at night. I like the idea of a wind flag on each one. I will steal that idea.
