Tuning Artemis M22(M10 and M11), Problem with seardrag

Hi Parrotculler, Artemis Spa M22 sear bracket problem pictures here.

After I dry fired (as empty as possible) air tube the gun did not cock any more. So I dismantled it and all trigger pieces looked fine like in picture below.

Question: why did it not cock, what happens in dry fire when air pressure is too low ?

Ok, op manual says that never shoot air rifle when the air reservoir is empty. But why is that, what is damaged and why?

I put it together 2 times with air and it still didn't cock, trigger was dead.

Sear (part No 56) nose was touching piston. Sear didn't move downwards so I (stupid me) overtightened screws for trigger base to piston shroud.

Then the sear bracket broke 😣

Can you explain what set screw is perhaps turned in too far ?

There are 3 screws:

No49- trigger screw

No50 - Sear bracket screw

Also under Sear Bracket No55 there is one screw in Photo picture, which is not seen exp diagram.

I did't turn any screws. Can dry fire make screw position changes somehow...

Damn. Artemis parts are not easy to find. Some people used to be able to email the company to a character called Julie, but it did not work when I tried. Where did you buy the gun, could you possibly return it there for repair? If not, address a plea to Julie for this part ... Mark it very clearly on the diagram.

Beats me what happened to your gun. Low air pressure normally has no impact at all on the cocking action. Maybe one of the set screws was loose, or a spring got displaced when dry firing, causing it not to cock anymore. But it's pretty clear that the screw on the trigger and on the transmission bracket were then turned out too far, putting on too much pressure causing the piece to break ... Sorry man not a lot I could do to help. Do you know a precision metalworker by chance who could do a new trigger part or weld the broken one together again ?

Ok, I've had info from few spare parts dealer that it can be ordered. But they can’t tell the exact price or delivery time. I can't wait for clearer answers. Instead, I decided to make the part myself even by getting a Dremel tool and filing a part of some piece of metal that I saw into a blank first. In fact, when you break then you also make a new one.

Adjusting the trigger is then your own thing again, when you have to try the length of the adjusting screws by experimenting. This seems pretty awkward and slow, but this is a hobby.

Luckily, I have other functional weapons in my gun stock that can relieve pressure like the MP40 and Hatsan Bullboss. Also I got only one time tested Ux Origin with pump in unopened package. So I got things to do and test.

Good for you!
