Can someone 'splain to me why the Artemis is largely unavailable in the US, and why Crosman would discontinue or suspend production of the 1720 when it gets such raves as a field target pistol? I must have missed this the first time around.

Not much said on the topic except a terse reply from Crosman that the 1701P is their competition pistol.

Numbers numbers numbers. It didn’t sell at the price point.
Field target aside, the 1720 is too much like the prod, less a mag.
The smart thing to do would have been to update the 1720 with a mag and remarket to a larger audience. But then there is the price.
I value the Walther barrel, but the masses do not. They only see price and velocity.
It died a predictable death.
That’s why I bought the first used one I could.

Got my PP700S-A from Airgun Archery Fun in Canada. Shipped to me in SoCal, no problem.
Seems Kral has them. They ship to the US. I bought a rifle from them, shipped to me in SoCal, a few months back.

Also, it would be cheaper to just get a 1701P, replace the tube, then install a shroud.

I was curious to see if Crosman / Benjamin would give a straight answer to the question below so I emailed them this morning-
"Will the Crosman 1720T ever become available again or has it been discontinued?"
Their Customer Service responded about the 1701P, (which I did not ask about) so I replied and re-asked the same question.

I was just curious to ask them again in case they might have had a change of heart since Oct. 2022..........but I guess not. Bummer!
