Artemis PP700 sa barrel nut frozen

I have a new Artemis PP700 sa in .22 and the barrel nut ( the one that needs snap ring pliers to remove) is frozen. 

I tried the following:

1. I ordered an LDC from Mrod and he told me to buy and 8mm bolt, thread it on and then back the barrel it out, so I bought a cap head 8mm bolt from Home Depot but it only partially threads on and seems to have the wrong thread size.
2. I bought different sets of snap ring pliers but none will get this but off. 


Any suggestions?

Hi

You need to heat the thread area with a hot air gun to soften the thread sealant component. I had to make this piece to install an extra moderator

M8 bolts are made with 2 different threads per inch

1.25 & 1.0

It could be you have the wrong one

Thanks guys. I’ll try heating the threads. And I’ll try to find a different thread bolt.
